Matt Riddle will wrestle Rob Van Dam for the first time ever in early 2024.

Riddle has kept a relatively low profile since his WWE release back in September. The former UFC fighter achieved a fair amount of success and popularity during his five years with the promotion, but his run was plagued by 'personal' issues.

Ultimately, WWE officials determined he was too much of a liability to continue working with.

Riddle has been discussed as a potential opponent for 'influencer boxer' Jake Paul, who returns to the ring next month. With a boxing debut still in the discussion phase, we have something tangible regarding Riddle's return to the ring.

On Wednesday, Big Time Wrestling announced that Riddle vs. RVD will take place Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at "The Reunion 3: Cavalcade of Legends" Super Show from Chillicothe, Ohio at the OU-Shoemaker Center.

Both men will also be doing signings as part of the convention, with the Matt Riddle Meet and Greet starting at $65 (including service fee).

RVD has been wrestling for AEW, where he teams with FTW Champion Hook, the son of fellow ECW alum Taz.
