Samoa Joe has added another accolade to his impressive career by becoming the longest-reigning Ring of Honor World Television Champion.

Joe captured the gold on the April 13, 2022, edition of AEW Dynamite, which also marked the first time an ROH championship had changed hands on an AEW broadcast. Joe dethroned Minoru Suzuki, who had won the title at ROH Supercard of Honor 2022.

While Joe has had the longest reign of any ROH World TV Champion, he has not held the title longer than anybody. That honor goes to Jay Lethal, who across his two title reigns held the gold for 798 days. For Joe to break that record, he will need to hold the ROH World Television Championship until Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Samoa Joe isn't just satisfied with the ROH World Television Champion. The veteran has made it clear he is still in pursuit of the AEW World Championship.

Joe is hardly the only champion working hard in Tony Khan's promotion. Eddie Kingston is currently in his first reign as ROH World Champion, having won the title at AEW Grand Slam: Dynamite in September. For Kingston to break the reign for the longest individual title reign (648 days held by Samoa Joe) he will need to hold the gold until Monday, June 30, 2025.

For ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata to break Nigel McGuiness' record reign, he will need to hold the gold until Saturday, March 16, 2024. Better Than You Bay Bay will need to hold their ROH World Tag Titles until Sunday, November 10, 2024, to break the record currently held by The Foundation.

Ring of Honor Women's World Champion Athena already holds the record for the longest title reign. New ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions Mogul Embassy will break the record for the longest title reign if they hold the gold until Tuesday, December 11, 2024.
