Vince McMahon may have been in character when he said "it's all about the money" but the former owner of WWE put that money where his mouth is today.

It was being reported that Vince McMahon was selling an extraordinary amount of his stock in TKO and today Mr. McMahon "excellently executed" the deal.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics noted that McMahon sold 8.4 million shares of TKO Group Holding at $76.41 per share, putting his total cashout at $641,844,000.

The news of McMahon selling a substantial sum of his stock certainly caused TKO on Wall Street to drop and it's for good reason as McMahon approximately sold four percent of the business with that move.

If you thought McMahon was completely out of the TKO Group Holding game, think again. Going by Wall Street shares, McMahon still owns about 12% of the company equating to about 20 million shares.

It was back during WrestleMania 39 weekend when WWE announced that they sold to Ari Emanuel of Endeavor and along with UFC, they would eventually merge with the entity to form TKO Group Holding. That all occured on September 13 and the McMahon ownership of WWE was officially over.

However, even when the announcement was first made, McMahon had a good deal of his creative fingerprints over the product. Him holding any control over that, however, became phased out as Triple H holds the reigns to all the creative aspects of WWE moving forward.

Even in their quarterly financial call, McMahon was listed as a "risk factor" following the hush-money scandal that initially outed him from the company in 2022.
