Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance at Friday night’s Ring of Honor television tapings from Los Angeles, California. Just months after finishing up with WWE, the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet’ made her in-ring debut for Tony Khan’s promotion. Rousey was the mystery partner of Marina Shafir against Billie Starks and ROH Women’s Champion, Athena.

Wrestling fans were shocked at the bizarre occurrence and quickly began wondering if there was more to Rousey’s involvement with ROH/AEW, or if this was simply a one-off ‘never say never’ moment.

AEW President Tony Khan spoke about Ronda Rousey’s appearance for Ring Of Honor during the press conference that was held after AEW Full Gear.

Addressing the queries surrounding Rousey's potential association with AEW, Khan delivered an update that set the record straight while retaining an air of intrigue. Khan revealed,

"She is not signed, but we had a great conversation. It came about because there was some unfinished business. They had that match, and I thought it would be great for our fans."

Khan added, “We would love to have her back sometime. It was really fun."

Khan’s enthusiastic words about the one of a kind performer puts the ball in Rousey’s court. Rousey’s match for ROH took place the night after her match for Wrestling Revolver.

Ronda Rousey’s final match for WWE took place at SummerSlam on August 5. She made a surprise return to wrestling in late October and has wrestled three times since then. She and Marina Shafir tagged together in Lucha VaVoom, Wrestling Revolver and ROH.
