Former WCW star Buff Bagwell has made clear that he is still sober despite a recent arrest that was filed as a DUI.

Bagwell was arrested on November 16, and charged with speedy and driving under the influence in Cobb County, Georgia, according to the Georgia Gazette. Both charges are misdemeanors. According to the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, Bagwell was arrested at 1:30 PM and released on November 17, at 1:51 PM. Bagwell is listed as having been sentenced to "time served."

Taking to Twitter, Bagwell gave the following update on his situation and said that any violations reference his original DUI offense from years ago.

Bagwell was arrested earlier this year and the record at the time said it was speeding and a DUI. At the time, Bagwell explained that this DUI was actually from the original offense years ago and that he received a sanction because he didn't document a recent trip out of state.

Buff Bagwell is best known for his time with WCW, where he worked from 1991 to the company's demise in 2001. During his stint with WCW, Bagwell became a five-time World Tag Team Champion. Bagwell's contract was picked up by the World Wrestling Federation in 2001 and he would compete against Booker T for the WCW World Championship during the July 2, Raw is War.

The match was panned by critics and fans and Buff was informed of his release when he attended the following Raw. There have been accusations that Bagwell faked an injury to get some time off and that his mother Judy rung the WWF offices to complain about her son's travel arrangements.
