All Elite Wrestling superstar MJF recently gave a scary injury update on social media. He shared in a deleted tweet that he had an MRI done, and it showed that he had a torn labrum in his left shoulder. It's unclear why he posted and then deleted his message, but it made fans wonder what AEW has planned for him with the injury report.

Despite sharing his torn labrum, he confirmed that he will defend his AEW World Championship at AEW World's End against Samoa Joe on December 30. The match was made official on the November 22 episode of AEW Dynamite during an in-ring segment between himself, Joe, and Adam Cole. With the match slated for the upcoming AEW pay-per-view, MJF will try to push through the injury to compete on the card. It's unclear if the world champion is motivated to compete at AEW World's End because it will be in his home city.

While the injury could require MJF to have surgery, he can be able to compete. Depending on the style of the match with Joe and the severity of the injury, the world champion may be able to work around the issue. It wouldn't be the first time MJF has wrestled through an injury, as he injured his hip during his match against Jay White at AEW Full Gear on November 18.

However, it does make fans wonder how AEW will handle him for the next month.

Dave Meltzer provided an update on MJF's condition on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

“The swelling is down on his hip, but the pain is not down, he’s hurting on the hip. Obviously the shoulder is I guess the more serious of the two," said Meltzer. "He’s not gonna have surgery."

Instead of going the surgery route, MJF will utilize stem cell therapy and physical rehabilitation to work through the "pretty big tear."

As the company prepares for AEW World's End, they may have to consider what they will do with their world title and the Ring Of Honor Tag Team Championships. Both are being held by MJF, which could cause them to make some changes.

Notably, with the ROH Tag Team Championships, it could be time to try something new. Cole, his tag partner, has been inactive as he is recovering from an ankle injury from AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on September 20. Although MJF has been trying to keep the Better Than You Bay Bay tag team title reign going, his injury presents an opportunity to give an ROH tag team a chance.

For the AEW World Championship, the company could keep MJF out of action and avoid letting him get physical until the next PPV. Since the match is already set, Joe and MJF can build towards their match. One of the storylines they can use for the feud is that Joe shared on the November 22 episode that he would keep MJF safe until their match. Instead of having MJF involved physically, Joe can have matches and protect the champion on his behalf.

It's unclear if AEW knew that MJF may have a shoulder injury and added this element to help him. However, the company can get him to the PPV without hurting himself more. Their next problem will be if they choose to take the world title off of him and award Joe. AEW has a month to determine what action they will take with MJF hurt.
