The WWE Universe may be mere weeks away from seeing The Rock team with Roman Reigns to face Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes.

Despite their past differences, Rhodes and Rollins have been united in their efforts against The Bloodline. When The Rock slapped Cody at the WrestleMania 40 kick-off event, Rollins immediately provided back-up for his Monday Night Raw compatriot.

The Bloodline Vs. Rollins/Rhodes

At WWE Elimination Chamber 2024, Cody Rhodes challenged The Rock to go one-on-one. Rollins advised Rhodes that it is never one-on-one when it comes to The Bloodline and vowed to have Cody's back if the match happens.

This segment left many speculating that a tag-team match between The Bloodline and Rollins/Rhodes is in the works. On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that he's heard that the match could headline night one of WrestleMania 40. While some had speculated on the match being held off (potentially for one of WWE's Saudi Arabia events) it now seems the fans won't have to wait so long.

What This Means for WrestleMania

If this match goes ahead at WrestleMania 40, it'll mean that Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Cody Rhodes will be performing double-duty at the event. Rhodes and Reigns will face off for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in what will almost certainly be the main event of WrestleMania 40: Sunday.

Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre, who earned the title match by winning the Men's Elimination Chamber match. If the tag-match goes ahead, it'll virtually guarantee that the World Heavyweight Championship match will not headline WrestleMania 40: Saturday.
