WWE Raw Superstar CM Punk can't compete due to a torn triceps injury, but that won't keep him from having a role at WrestleMania 40 next month.

CM Punk has been out of action since the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble match, in which he suffered his injury. This is the latest injury setback for Punk, who was taken out of action in 2022 during his AEW run after suffering an injury while diving to the fans. Punk would suffer a triceps tear during his AEW All Out match with Jon Moxley that same year.

Punk had hoped to headline WrestleMania this year; an accolade missing from the Best in the World's impressive career. Punk not headlining WrestleMania 28 in favor of The Rock Vs. John Cena was alluded to during a segment between Punk and Cody Rhodes, with the Chicago-Made star hinting that Rock would replace Rhodes as the main eventer of WrestleMania 40.

On this week's Raw, a video aired hyping up Punk's return to WWE programming which will come on next week's episode of Monday Night Raw in Chicago, IL. During this video, Punk addressed his WrestleMania status. The former WWE & AEW World Champion vowed that he would be at WrestleMania 40, even if he isn't formally invited.

Punk was initially planned to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40. Instead, the World Heavyweight Champion will defend against Drew McIntyre. Punk was also scheduled for a role at last month's WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 event, which also had to be scrapped due to his injury.
