WE just threw the biggest WrestleMania event of all time. Now, they are ready to mix things up once again.

During WWE RAW after WrestleMania on April 8, Michael Cole announced that the WWE Draft will be taking place on April 26th for SmackDown and April 29th for RAW.

Triple H had already confirmed that another draft is coming soon. He said it will be here in a few weeks, and now we know exactly when the draft will go down.

Ilja Dragunov, who is NXT Champion, competed against Shinsuke Nakamura during the first match on RAW this week. Cole stated that Ilja will be a part of the draft.

WWE typically uses their yearly drafts to change things up, as they present new feuds and further stories. This could also mean call-ups are coming from NXT, and there are a few Superstars who would be choice options for main roster talent.

The draft began in 2002 coinciding with the brand split. It evolved into the WWE Brand Extension Draft in 2006 and then into the WWE Draft from 2007 to 2011.

Now, the WWE Draft occurs annually to shuffle the rosters. Some Superstars are designated as "free agents," allowing them to appear on any brand where they are most beneficial.
