TNA iMPACT Results - January 24, 2007

We open up Impact hearing that Sting was at City Hall looking for Abyss' records. Mike Tenay tells us that we will know tonight what Abyss is hiding. We then take a look back at last week's Impact.

Samoa Joe makes his way down for a little promo time. Joe says that everybody has a lot of questions for him. The question is, why would Samoa Joe help Kurt Angle? Joe says he wouldn't help Angle if his car was 3 seconds away from getting crushed. He says that Angle didn't beat him at Final Resolution, he just ran out of time. He says that he wants Angle to get a fair shot at the belt, this is why he's the special enforcer for the title match at Against All Odds. This brings out Kurt Angle. He says that he figured after Final Resolution that they were done. Kurt says he thinks Joe is the consultant that Cage has hired. Joe says hold on that the next time they fight, he will win, and he will win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. This now brings out Christian Cage. Cage says that it's not Joe that's his consultant. He says Joe isn't good enough to consult Cage on anything. He says that Angle will get another hint and that it's someone Angle is close to, closer than he might think.

We learn that Christian Cage will take on Christopher Daniels, Rhino will battle against Raven, and Sting will reveal Abyss' secret. After this, we go backstage to Jeremy Borash interviewing James Mitchell. Throughout the whole promo, Abyss is going nuts. Mitchell says that Sting shouldn't reveal Abyss' secret.

We then go backstage with Jim Cornette telling Seratonin that Raven will be taking on Rhino. Two stars from ECW are locking horns once again! Seratonin then hits the ring and Rhino disposes of them quickly. Raven hits Rhino with a kendo stick and takes off his headgear to reveal himself as AJ Styles! AJ continues to assault Rhino as we head to the back with Christian Cage. Cage is now running the TV truck!

Back from commercial, we see a poster that says Ron "The Truth" Killings in A Few Good Black Men. We then cut to a promo for Paparazzi Productions featuring Eric Young. Eric is afraid somebody will come in. As Borash and Young are checking out condoms, James Storm, Miss Tennessee, Slick Johnson, and others burst into the store and leave Eric Young embarrassed.

We head to the Impact Zone with Chris Sabin making his way to the ring for a 4-way match between Jerry Lynn, Senshi, and Austin Starr. Jerry Lynn still has it! It will be Lynn taking on Sabin at Against All Odds for the X Division Championship. The two best X Division wrestlers, besides Joe, Styles, and Daniels, are finally getting a piece each other. I'm talking about Senshi and Austin Starr. As they are battling, Jerry Lynn rolls up Sabin for the victory!

We head backstage with Letisha and VKM. BG James wants to apologize for their actions the past few weeks. Kip James then cuts him off and tells how wrestling will always be a man's world as we head to commercial.

As we come back from commercial, we take a look back at the actions of Team 3D on LAX. We see Konnan, with a walker, talking about how LAX should be respected. Konnan says they took out Styles & Daniels, they broke up AMW, and they will break up & destroy Team 3D.

After that, Sting makes his way to the Impact Zone. Sting talks about how Abyss has to die before he can have life. He then says Abyss has been hiding something for 10 years. He says he found out what Abyss did. He says that once he reveals what Abyss did, Abyss will go off. He then says he's willing to give up his body. He says Abyss put 3 bullets in the back of a man that went in a coma and the man survived. The man that Abyss put in a coma was Abyss' own father! Abyss comes out and destroys Sting. Abyss beats Sting all around the Impact Zone. James Mitchell comes out and lets a fireball lose in Sting's face! Sting can't see anything as we cut to commercial.

Back from commercial, Sting has been loaded into an ambulance and is going to be taken to a local hospital. Christian Cage cuts a short promo on how he's still the star of the show. Christopher Daniels then makes his way to the ring, followed by Christian Cage, accompanied by Tomko. As Daniels and Cage battle, Joe makes his way down to the ring with a steel chair! Borash comes out and asks Joe what he's doing. Joe says he's proving a point to his good buddy Kurt Angle. The rumors continue to swirl that the consultant is Samoa Joe. I personally think it's Scott Steiner, since TNA just resigned him and he hasn't been on TV in a while. Tomko gets in the ring and Joe gets in to prevent any interference. This leads to a low blog from Cage, followed by an Unprettier to give Christian Cage the win. As the show ends, with Cage & Tomko backing up the ramp, Angle comes out and gets in Joe's face. They stand there and argue as Cage & Tomko celebrate! Man, Impact was truly and adrenaline rush!
