how to add a picture to your sig

so im trying to add a banner to my sig but when i try to add it, it ends up smaller then it should be can anybody tell me how to add it correctly so it is the right size?

somebody else made the banner im trying to get it on my sig when i save it and then browse comp to upload it it comes up small and when i use the thing where you enter the website adress it says that it is too big to load even though it is a normal sized banner

Trying saving the image as JPEG and then try uploading it. If Imageshack.us didnt work, try http://www.imagevenue.com

If that didnt work, I don't know.
