National Wrestling Superstars Results From Brick, NJ

National Wrestling Superstars returned to what has become its south Jersey hotspot, the Brick, NJ Elks Lodge, on Saturday night May 5. With a certified legend in the house, a sellout crowd of over 400 fans, last-minute ticket requests being turned away, and even reports of tickets being scalped for as much as $100 or more (and no, not by the promoters), NWS delivered another hot night of pro wrestling action that the Brick fans have come to expect.

The show kicked off with a three-way dance between J.D. Smooth, Mikey Pacifica, and Wasted Youth. Before the match, Corrupted Youth (who was back after a long injury) came out and told Wasted Youth he was the genuine "youth" of NWS, and he would be keeping a close eye on Wasted Youth. The match started with Wasted and Smooth ganging up on Pacifica, but it soon broke down into every man for himself. Towards the end, Wasted hit Pacifica with a backwards piledriver, but was distracted from making the pinning cover by Corrupted Youth, who returned to ringside and got Wasted's attention long enough for Smooth to level him. Smooth then attempted to powerbomb Pacifica, but Mikey reversed it and rolled up Smooth for a surprise 1-2-3 pinfall and victory.

Out to the ring next came TNA's Miss Brooks, who greeted the fans. Her greeting was cut short by the piercing whistle of manager Royce C. Profit, who came to the ring with his new stable "Creative Control" (former WWE star Salvatore Sincere, former ECW star "Dastardly" Danny Doring, RAW racist comic "Midnight Idol" Nicky Benz, King Kahlua, and Sergeant Jimmy Storm). They immediately backed Miss Brooks into a corner and began harassing and insulting her. Nicky Benz promised victory with his teammates King Kahlua and Jimmy Storm later that night, so much so that he offered to put Jimmy Storm's career on the line, and claimed that Miss Brooks would be leaving Brick with him. Commissioner Gino Moore had enough; he announced that Miss Brooks would referee Benz's match that night, and Jimmy Storm's career would indeed be on the line. Royce Profit then turned his attention to WWE "Living Legend" Bruno Sammartino, signing autigraphs in the back, who was managing the Heartthrobs later that night against Sincere and Doring, insulting his age and and threatening to end his career once and for all. Bruno replied that he would show the fans he could still take care of business.

Royce Profit returned to the ring for the second match of the night, leading Japan's Great Kaibootsie against Jersy Shore madman Slayer. These two have been battling all over NWS for the past few months, and the Brick fans saw another battle of size vs. speed and unpredictability. In the end, as has been the case many times before, the manager on the outside made the difference, as Royce Profit lured Slayer in with a dog biscuit (he seems to have a weakness for them) and then threw powder in his face, enabling Kaibootsie to roll him up for the 1-2-3 pinfall and victory.

The third match of the evening was an NWS Jersey Shore Title Match between the champion Nicky Oceans, and the challenger, Camp IWF standout and Point Pleasant, NJ native Travis Blake. The two were well matched up and battled back and forth for over ten minutes. Then, while Oceans was arguing with the referee, Blake came up from behind and locked on a Sharpshooter, forcing Oceans to eventually tap out and making Travis Blake the *NEW* NWS Jersey Shore Champion.

Out came Miss Brooks once again, this time in a referee's outfit, to referee one of the two co-feature matches of the night, a six-man tag-team match pitting three members of Royce C. Profit's "Creative Control", "Midnight Idol" Nicky Benz & King Kahlua & Sargeant Jimmy Storm, against the team of The Patriot & Rogue & popular NWS referee Mike "Quick Count" Dillon, who was donning the tights to settle a grudge with both Nicky Benz and Sargeant Storm. But Dillon's inexperience as a wrestler was taken advantage of early on in the match as he was soon isolated and beaten down by the other team. But The Patriot & Rogue were able to get into the match and keep the odds even. A re-energized Dillon came in at the end and took the fight to Storm, and after Storm missed a splash to the corner, Dillon rolled him up for the 1-2-3 pinfall and victory. Commissioner Moore announced that, in keeping with the stipulations announced earlier, Sargeant Jimmy Storm was fired from NWS.

After intermission, the fifth match saw former WWE protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews (who was cheered by fans from his home neighborhood of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn) take on NWS rising star Rhett Titus (who was cheered by pretty much everyone else). Titus kept pace with Matthews for most of the match, but the experience of the former WWE hopeful proved to be the deciding factor in the end, as Matthews hit a crucifix slam on Titus and pinned him for the 1-2-3 victory.

For the sixth match, out came Corrupted Youth to take on Hyena. Both were making their return to NWS after long absences due to injuries. Hyena got on the mic and pointed out the presence of former NWS Regional Heavyweight Champion J.C. Rage in the crowd. Hyena chuckled as he reminded the crowd that he was the one who defeated Rage in a Loser Leaves NWS Match two years ago. Hyena and Youth battled each other inside and outside the ring, as though they had never been away from the ring. After a mishap knocked out the referee, Youth grabbed a chair and brought it into the ring, but J.C. Rage came into the ring and took it away. This allowed Hyena to hit Youth with a piledriver as the referee awoke and counted the 1-2-3 pinfall victory for Hyena. After the match, Rage then attacked Hyena with the chair and then appealed to Commissioner Gino Moore to grant him one more match in NWS, his kind of match, a Last Man Standing Match against Hyena. Commissioner Moore at first refused, then relented and announced they would meet in late July in Long Branch, NJ.

The final match of the evening was the other co-feature match. Royce Profit led Salvatore Sincere & "Dastardly" Danny Doring to the ring. Then the crowd rose to its feet as out came WWE "Living Legend" Bruno Sammartino, leading former WWE tag-team The Heartthrobs (John "Romeo" Roselli & Antonio "The Promise" Thomas). The four veteran wrestlers tore into each other, Doring & Sincere's power matched against The Heartthrob's tag-team experience. The match ended up with all four wrestlers in the ring, and referee Kenny Edwards knocked out. Referee S.P. Anderson came in to count a pinfall attempt by Roselli on Sincere, but Doring took him out with a chair shot. Roselli sunset-flipped Sincere into another pinfall attempt, and Miss Brooks, still wearing her referee uniform, ran in to make the 1-2-3 count and awarded the match to The Heartthrobs. Bruno Sammartino even leveled Royce Profit on the outside to cap off the evening and send the crowd home happy.

News about German Stampede Wrestling

At the beginning of May, we want to bring you some great announcements. After we
had a short show at the Power Party of the Frankfurt Galaxy Football-Team, we
are now heading straight to Night in Motion IX, wihich will be in less than a
month.

Before Night in Motion, there will be an edition of GSW-TV because president
Schock and vice-president Steve the Chief were both at the Commerzbank-Arena in
Frankfurt to stand in front of the camera for you (of course not side-by-side).

At the 7th of July, Night in Motion X, the great anniversary-event of the Night
in Motion series, will take place. It will be at the Wagonhalle in Marburg again
and the headline is "End of an era". Many great matches will be contested and
now we have two more to announce. Both matches will be for title-gold.

At International Impact Wesna became the first ever Ladies Champion of GSW. But
now she has to defend her title against Jetta from England. After Jettas great
appearance at Night in Motion VIII, many fans wanted her to return. The
GSW-Office will make that wish come true and gives her a chance for the gold. In
January she was cheated by Blue Nikita, but now she has a big chance to make an
impact in GSW.

But like already announced, all titles will be on the line at that evening.
Beside the Breakthrough- and the Ladies Champion, also the World Heavyweight
Champion has got a contender. Joe E. Legend was nominated by GSW-Office after
his win against Nigel McGuinness.

Legend will face either Absolute Andy or Steve Corino. Both matches would be
interesting. A match against Corino would be the re-match of their classic at
International Impact III. If he faced Absolute Andy it would be the first time,
both would face each other, but they already had an encounter backstage at
International Impact IV. It is no secret that Absolute Andy was trained by Joe
E. Legend and has a lot of respect for him.

Three title matches have been announced now. The opponents for Chris Colen and
Robert Ray are to be announced soon. It will be a hot summer at GSW - don't miss
it!

Tickets are available at the GSW-Shop.
