The hunt continues for two Boeremag accused who escaped from the Pretoria High Court.

Rudi Gouws, 28, and Herman van Rooyen, 33, escaped last Wednesday after slipping past police officers at the court.

The two were on trial on murder, terrorism and treason charges.

The State alleges that Van Rooyen is one of the Boeremag masterminds and that Gouws is his sidekick.National police spokesperson Director Sally de Beer said on Sunday night that there were no new developments in the search for the two men.

She declined to comment on a Sunday newspaper report that Gouws and Van Rooyen might have fled the country."We are working hard and our team is confident (they will make a breakthrough)," she said.

De Beer said police were following up "certain information" but declined to elaborate.

An internal investigation had been launched to establish whether there was any police involvement in the escape or whether there had been any negligence on behalf of the police.

The Boeremag trial has been postponed to May 15 by Pretoria High Court judge Eben Jordaan to allow police time to try and rearrest the two accused.
