Ring of Honor taped a match for their second PPV, which will begin airing this September, at last night's return to Philadelphia, PA. The match was an unadvertised surprise, with ring announcer Bobby Cruise making the announcement just prior to the bout and counting down the crowd, which went ballistic when ROH began taping the PPV segment. The announcement seemed to turn a switch on the ROH fans in Philadelphia as they went from their normal reserved ways to something similar to an ECW audience, chanting and screaming the entire duration of the segment.

In the match, Bryan Danielson defeated Nigel McGuinness in a tremendous match, which saw Danielson busted open hardway after a sequence where he and McGuiness charged each other with headbutts. Danielson used a series of elbows to daze McGuinnness before locking in his cattle mutiliation finisher. It was yet another in a series of excellent bouts between the two.

The remainder of the ROH PPV is slated to be taped 6/23 in Chicago Ridge, Illinois with ROH Tag Team champions Jay and Mark Briscoe vs. Kevin Steen and El Generico announced. The first ROH PPV "Respect is Earned" is slated to debut on PPV carriers on 7/1, running through September.
