PRELIM FIGHT RESULTS

Fight #1:
-Nate Mohr vs. Luke Caudillo

Fight Recap: Caudillo got an early takedown. Nothing much went on there. A lot
of the rest of the fight was Mohr out-striking Caudillo, with Caudillo throwing wild and with power but hardly landing. With that in mind this should be a Mohr decision. We have 30-27 and 29-28 twice for Mohr, winning unanimously after three.

Nate Mohr def. Luke Caudillo via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after 3 Rounds.

Fight #2:
-Chad Reiner vs. Anthony Johnson

Fight Recap: Very quick fight. Johnson gets a brutal knockout victory in just thirteen seconds. It was an uppercut-left hook combo that dropped Reiner. He was out for a while before regaining his consciousness. He was on his feet and was walking (with help) before the fight totally left the cage though.

Anthony Johnson def. Chad Reinder via KO (punch) at 0:13 of Round 1.

Fight #3:
-Gleison Tibau vs. Jeff Cox

Fight Recap: Cox goes for a takedown early, but Tibau winds up taking his back for his efforts. He slowly gains full back control and is working for a rear naked choke. While attempting to transition into Tibau's guard, Cox gets caught in an armbar and is forced to tap out.

Gleison Tibau def. Jeff Cox via Submission (armbar) at 1:52 of Round 1.

Fight #4:
-Pete Spratt vs. Tamdan McCrory

Fight Recap: Fight started with Spratt out-striking Tamdan. Spratt eventually got back-control and fought a lot from the side. In round two, McCrory slipped while attempting a takedown and Spratt got his back where he pounded away, nearly stopping him. McCrory spun and got Spratt's back, however Spratt got up. He dives into McCrory's guard and gets caught in a triangle choke and taps.

Tamdan McCrory def. Pete Spratt via Submission (triangle choke) at 2:04 of Round 2.

Fight #5:
-Luigi Fioravanti vs. Forrest Petz

Fight Recap: Apparently not the most exciting fight. Petz takes a unanimous decision. Close first round with little action. In the second, Petz landed some shots that hurt Fioravanti momentarily. Fioravanti landed some decent leg kicks in the fight, but not much else.

Forrest Petz def. Luigi Fioravanti via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after 3 Rounds.

Fight #6:
-Jason Black vs. Thiago Tavares

Fight Recap: First round saw the two on the feet feeling each other out. A lot of circling and moving backwards. In the second the fight went to the ground early as Tavares slams Black on the ground. Black sweeps immediately and is working for a keylock. Black is in Tavares' guard and Tavares throws up a triangle. He's got it and it's over.

Thiago Tavares def. Jason Black via Submission (triangle choke) at 2:49 of Round 2.

Fight #7:
-Drew McFedries vs. Jordan Radev

Round 1: Total domination. McFedries came out blasting. Radev took heavy punches on the feet from the get-go. McFedries brushed a head-kick on him and then caught him with a monsterous uppercut that drops Radev. McFedries follows in with very brutal follow-up punches to knock him completely unconscious.

Drew McFedries def. Jordan Radev via KO (punches) at 0:33 of Round 1.

Fight #8:
-Jon Fitch vs. Roan Carneiro

Round 1: Carneiro gets Fitch down early with a great takedown. He's in Fitch's guard. In a scramble, Carneiro has a guillotine on a kneeling Fitch. He's tightening it as they move around. He's rolling with it and this looks bad for Fitch. Fitch pops out and is on top of Carneiro, who is in the four-point position. He's got a Fitch-leg and is trying to scramble out. The two are back on their feet and up against the cage. Carneiro works for a takedown but Fitch defends. Still clinched up against the cage. Carneiro gets another good takedown and is in Fitch's guard. Carneiro passes to side-mount but Fitch scrambles around. Carneiro is on top of Fitch and throwing knees to the body. He's working for a choke again as the round ends. Definitely Carneiro's round.

Round 2: Good leg kick from Fitch to start the second. Fitch lands a huge shot and Carneiro goes down. Fitch is going berzerker mode to try and finish, but Carneiro is starting to cover up and recover. Fitch gets his back though and is landing punches. He slaps on a rear naked choke and Carneiro taps. Wow that was a good comeback.

Jon Fitch def. Roan Carneiro via Submission (rear naked choke) at 1:07 of Round 2.

Fight #9:
-Spencer Fisher vs. Sam Stout

Round 1: Very explosive action to begin the round. Both are throwing very fast, hard punches. Fisher landing more often than Stout, but Stout still having his moments. Fisher goes for a big takedown, but Stout defends. They clinch against the fence briefly before seperating and they're striking intensely again. Stout taking hard shots from Fisher, but dealing with them well so far. This is a great fight. Two minutes left in the round and these two are still going at it ferociously. What an action-packed, fast-paced round. Stout lands a good shot that has Fisher backing up. Fisher is bleeding pretty bad. None of that has slowed the action down the slightest bit though. The tide seems to be leaning towards Stout where as most of the round it felt like Fisher was winning. Another big shot from Stout and Fisher is bleeding very bad. Fisher drops Stout, but Stout quickly bounces back. Fisher slips and the rounds ends. What an incredible five minutes of fighting that was.

Round 2: It's a bad cut but under the eye for Fisher. And here we go for round two. Already slugging and picking up right where they left off. Both really going at it. Fisher seems to be getting the better again here. Big inside leg kick from Fisher. Fisher changing up the strikes he chooses a ton. He's coming from everywhere with everything. Superman punnch and then a body shot as I type that. Knee to the body. Stout counters with a one-two. This is another great round so far with just under three minutes remaining. Big leaping hook from Fisher. Fisher with a big punch rocks Stout a little. Well, jerked his head back. They're taking each other's power shots and still coming forward. Lot of body punches from both guys in this fight, more than you normally see in MMA. U.S.A. chant. Oh well, leave it to the fans to be the only bad thing about this fight so far. Good knee from Stout. Big right from Fisher. Stout coming after it more again late in the round here. Fisher bleeding pretty good again, but it's under the eye. Fisher going for a takedown, doesn't get it so throws a hard knee to the body and seperates. The two are trading with fifteen seconds left. Another great round. I've got it 20-18 going into the third, so Stout needs this one big or a finish to win. Could be different in the judges minds though. We'll see!

Round 3: The two touch gloves to start the third. Body kick and push kick from Stout. Stout coming out more aggressive here than he has in the first two. Or at least more successfully aggressive. He's controlling the pace early. One-two from Stout and another push kick. Body shot from Stout. Leg kick from Fisher and a big left hand that rocks Stout a bit. Stout jabbing and circling. Good body kick from Stout. Great quick straight-left from Fisher. Great one-two from Fisher with some power on it. Nice jab from Stout and body punch. More technical round than explosive than the past two, but still constant action and great striking. Uppercut from Stout just misses. Good left from Fisher. Just under three minutes left and Stout lands another good body kick. Superman punch from Fisher. Fisher drops Stout with a punch. He bounces back up and seems to be on slightly rubbery legs. The two are in a thai clinch trading knees. They seperate and Stout lands another great body kick. Another big body kick from Stout. The two trade punches. Fisher with a punch that jerks Stout's head back and draws and "oooh" from the crowd. Stout with a one-two. A little over a minute left and Stout needs to do something big to pull this off in my eyes. Fisher with another big punch. "This is a great fight" says Joe Rogan, and he's right there. Stout turning it on with 50 seconds left trying to pull it out but Fisher lands another big punch. Stout slips on a kick but is back. The two trade some more and Stout lands a good body punch. Crowd is going off, 10 seconds left and the two trade some big ones as the round ends. Amazing fight. Should be 30-27 Fisher.

Spencer Fisher def. Sam Stout via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after 3 Rounds.
