World Wrestling Entertainment's theme for the 2007 Licensing convention in New York City was "WWE: Global Marketplace". WWE's booth was designed to look like a series of supermarket shelves, with each aisle focusing on different branded merchandise, including action figures, DVDs, books, and apparel. In lieu of a press kit, WWE had a great looking color overview of their different properties and background information designed to look like a supermarket circular. To add to the atmosphere, they had WWE branded candy machines and shopping carts as well. WWE had numerous monitors running different video features on the company's assets and several monitors for those attending to check out WWE.com were also available. WWE was heavily pushing its Mobile content. We'll have some photos of the WWE's display up shortly in the PWInsider.com Elite section.

Carlito was slated to appear today for a private signing at the licensing convention but was canceled due to travel issues.

The DVD release of Steve Austin's WWE Films release The Condemned will be 9/18.

The cover of the upcoming autobiography "Batista Unleashed" will feature mirror images of the former WWE champion, one dressed in a white suit jacket and the other featuring him in his tights. The book is slated to be released this fall.
