Ric Flair Cancels the First Finlay vs. Flair Match, Details

- As previously posted, Ric Flair will face Fit Finlay tonight on SmackDown!, which will be the first meeting of the two veteran superstars.

Years ago when Finlay first came to WCW, everyone was terrified of him because they'd heard of his reputation as a tough guy, and that he worked really stiff. Shortly after he arrived, he was booked in a match with Flair.

Flair showed up, saw the match on the board, and erased it.

Maybe he didn't feel need to wrestle him on that given day. Back then Flair pretty much got to do what he wanted.

These two have been aorund the business for a long time and I am quite surprised the two have never wrestled one another. Maybe there is a personal reason Flair never wrestled Finlay? A shame though, I believe it would be a great match.

Lets put this into perspective, Flair probably didn't want to fight Finlay because of the reputation that Finlay got when he went to WCW. Finlay and Flair have obviously grown past that and can put on great matches together since the both of them are such professionals and veterans that Wrestling can learn a thing or two from both men.
