And here's what happened last time, in a WSU Press Release issued in June:

The four qualifying matches are full of emotion. Alicia & Becky Bayless had a bloody match on the 3/3 show. While Alicia won that match, Becky Bayless sent Luna Vachon to take Alicia out on 5/5. Alicia was able to get by Luna but left seriously bruised and battered. Now on 7/14, Becky Bayless, after missing the 5/5 show for intense training will return to the squared circle to get her revenge on the self-proclaimed queen of Jersey, Alicia.

Things have been hot and fiery between Alere Little Feather & Amy Lee. On 3/3, Amy Lee cut a profanity laced obscene promo, questioning the girls in WSU. The 18 year veteran than took it upon herself to wipe out the Diva Killaz single handedly. Alere Little Feather took offense and tried taking on Amy Lee, only to find out that this wasn't going to be David vs Goliath. After being suspended due to her actions and f-bomb tirades, Amy Lee returns to WSU and Alere looks forward to the challenge. On 5/5, Alere defeated the larger Della'Morte in a match to prepare vs Amy Lee. Now, on 7/14 there is much more on the line than their personal issues, as the winner will move on to the match to crown the first ever WSU Womens Champion!

Alexa Thatcher vs Nikki Roxx is a special attraction match WSU is putting on. Both have expressed their interest in WSU and would like nothing better than to walk away with the WSU Womens title. Alexa Thatcher, coming off a win by beating Mia Love on 5/5 looks to make it two straight against WSU newcomer Nikki Roxx. Roxx may be new to WSU, but she's certainly not new to the ring. Both competitors are pysched for the match and with a chance to become WSU Womens Champion, the stakes have beeen considerably raised.

Luna Vachon will be in the house on 7/14. Coming off a loss to Alicia on 5/5, Luna looks to add more gold to her resume, in the shape of the WSU Womens title. Luna has put out an open challenge on 7/14. Many girls on the WSU roster want nothing to do with Luna after the way Luna destroyed Alicia on 5/5, but with an open contract and the chance to become the first ever WSU Womens champion, you can expect someone big to answer the challenge. Luna welcomes all comers. However, one must wonder what's going to happen with both Luna and Alicia in the same building as Luna has vowed her revenge on Alicia.

The Diva Killaz will also take on the Soul Sisters on 7/14. Kayla Sparks & Miss Deville, the Diva Killaz, have not been on the same page in WSU. On 3/3, both took each other on in a special challenge match and seemed to be fine. However, as backstage DVD footage showed us, The First Lady of Wrestling, Missy Hyatt, stirred the pot between them. Trouble has been brewing for the Diva Killaz and it seems it's only a a matter of time before something seriously bad happens. However, The Diva Killaz have assured WSU management that everything is "peachy keen" and look forward to the Soul Sisters, Jana & Latasha's challenge on 7/14. The Soul Sisters were victorious on 5/5 against the Diva Killaz and The Diva Killaz look to even the score while the Soul Sisters look to repeat history.

Also in the house that night will be the sultry Jasmin St. Claire & The First Lady of Wrestling Missy Hyatt. What will happen when these two cross paths?

All this and much much more will take place on 7/14. There are 8 people looking to win the prestigious WSU Womens title. WSU has been in negotiations with other indy promotions that despite whomever wins the WSU title, that the WSU Womens champion can defend the championship at any indy event. That means after 7/14, the WSU Womens title could potentially change hands at another indy event in any part of the world! However, that is looking too far ahead as all roads lead to 7/14! Be there on July 14th as the girls of WSU show you what womens wrestling is all about.

THIS SHOW IS COMPLETELY FREE! Bring the family, bring your friends, bring one, bring all! The WSU womens division looks to entertain like never before!

Don't forget to support the women of WSU and purchase WSU Womens DVDs at DOIVideo.com today!

SPOTLIGHT MATCHES OF THE WEEK

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Super Hentai vs. Shark Boy vs. The Aftermath
When Super Hentai captured the CAPW Junior Heavyweight Title earlier this year, he began a crusade. A crusade to bring honor, prestige, and respect to a championship that truly deserved it. A championship that had once been held captive by egomaniacs like the Johnny Garganos of the world, was now free to be represented by a man who is a champion in every sense of the word, both in and out of the wrestling ring. On August 5, Hentai attempts to continue to build the legacy of both himself and the title he holds, against two very different opponents. One, The Aftermath, is still at the beginning of his career, still trying to earn a name for himself, and can do so overnight by defeating someone with the worldwide experience of Hentai. Also, there is the individual from “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” Shark Boy. One of the most unique and fun-filled athletes anywhere in the world today, however in Hentai’s eyes, Shark Boy lacks the true serious qualities that a champion should represent. Hentai will be fighting for what he believes in, what he believes a champion should be, but can this champions survive two hungry challengers, one possessing the lethal bite of a shark?

Grudge Match: “Dogfaced Gremlin” Rick Steiner vs. Buff Bagwell
The careers of these two legendary tag team grapplers have intertwined several times over the years, most frequently and notably in World Championship Wrestling. It was while in WCW in early-1998, that these men would cross paths in a moment that would change each of their lives forever. While attempting one of his trademark bulldog headlock takedowns, Steiner inadvertently injured Bagwell, breaking the then-NWO member’s neck in the process. It was a moment that would not soon be forgotten, and would ultimately tear apart both the Steiner and Bagwell family at its very seams before it was all said and done. However, old grudges die hard, and on August 5, it’s the match over 9 years in the making as Bagwell goes face-to-face with the man who changed his life forever, and Steiner goes face-to-face with the man responsible for turning Rick’s brother against him. What will happen when old wounds are reopened and these men face each other inside the squared circle one more time?

REMAINING ANNOUNCED CARD FOR CAPW NIGHT OF LEGENDS: SUNDAY AUGUST 5!

CAPW Heavyweight Title Cage Match: The Blue Meanie vs. Jason Bane
Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin vs. Johnny Gargano & Josh Prohibition
CAPW Tag Titles: Faith in Nothing vs. Tracy Smothers & Chris Hamrick
CAPW TV Title: Conrad Kennedy III vs. Carlton Kaz
Mythical Six-Man Tag Titles: JT Lightning/Da Munchies vs. Superfly Jimmy Snuka/Q&A
Mixed Tag: Robbie Starr & Lexi Lane vs. JD Michaels & April Hunter
Special “King of Cleveland” Invitational!

Aerial Insanity: Too Cold Scorpio vs. “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross
Throughout the 1990s, Too Cold Scorpio raised the bar in high-flying wrestling, showcasing feats of phenomenal athleticism never before seen in U.S. wrestling. First with WCW, then ECW, then as Flash Funk in the World Wrestling Federation, Scorpio carved a reputation as a true trendsetter in risk-taking. However, in this decade, one man may have surpassed him. “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross has, in many instances, attempted to raise the bar even further. When M-Dogg is called “The Innovator of Aerial Insanity” it’s not simply a clever marketing phrase, its fact. M-Dogg not only utilizes, but perfects, countless high-risk moves, including being the first U.S. competitor to popularize the Space Flying M-Dogg Drop as well as Death From Above. On August 5, two of the most innovative fliers in wrestling history wage aerial warfare against one another in what is sure to be a breathtaking show-stealing spectacle.

Open Challenge: Hardcore Rules: Jessica Havok vs. Luna Vachon
Jessica Havok is the most intimidating female presence to ever step foot into a CAPW ring. Since signing on as JT Lightning’s personal bodyguard, Jessica has earned her keep by annihilating every opponent, both male and female, that has been put in her path. Havok has made it a habit to dispose of one, two, or sometimes up to four different opponents in the same night. It is clear no woman on CAPW’s regular roster can pose a challenge to Jessica Havok, but on Sunday August 5 she’ll be opposed by someone not like anyone on CAPW’s active roster: Luna Vachon. One needs only to look at the menacing snear and grating voice of Luna to know how dangerous she can become. And anyone who questions her toughness need only look at her legendary family of aunts and uncles (Maurice “Mad Dog” Vachon, Paul “Butcher” Vachon, and Vivian Vachon) to know she has been bred for success from a very young age. On August 5, Luna brings her wild unpredictable style rarely if ever seen in women’s professional wrestling today, and she also brings Hardcore Rules. No disqualifications, anything goes. Will Jessica Havok be able to withstand one of wrestling’s wildest women, or has the master of the “Open Challenge” finally met her match?

“Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. Chris Cronus
Tommy Rich has been a major player in professional wrestling for well over 25 years. Another athlete who was wise beyond his years, Rich’s fiery demeanor and textbook wrestling technique propelled Rich to early and major success. Rich became the youngest ever NWA World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Harley Race in April of 1981, and went on to capture several other national and regional championships throughout his career. Rich, a southern boy born and bred through his entire career, experienced an unlikely career resurgence in ECW in the late-90s as the leader of the “Full Blooded Italians”. Known as “The Big Don”, his Italian heritage was always highly in question, but his toughness never was, regularly surviving wars with everyone from The Blue Meanie to New Jack. Now, Wildfire makes his way to CAPW to battle Chris Cronus, someone who much like Rich, has achieved major success at a very young age. It’s the old guard vs. the new guard August 5th when Cronus meets Tommy Rich.

Dominic Denucci vs. Lord Zoltan
Without question, one of the most timeless competitors in wrestling history is the legendary Dominic Denucci. Despite several decades of competition in the sport, Denucci is still as tough and fearless as he ever was. This former WWWF Tag Team Champion is not only a well respected wrestler, but an accomplished trainer as well. Denucci trained multiple-time World Champions Mick Foley and “The Franchise” Shane Douglas in the mid-1980s, running them through rigorous training routines that would instill a work ethic and pain threshold in them evident for years to come. Denucci’s opponent on August 5 is another timeless athlete, someone who’s had consistent regional success throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and beyond for over 30 years, the one and only Lord Zoltan. The bizarre Zoltan has been in the ring with virtually every top star of wrestling’s past and present, including a memorable run-in with The Honky Tonk Man in CAPW earlier this year. Two timeless veterans respected over the entire region and beyond will do battle on August 5.

Nick Berk v.s. Vinny the Fixxer for the DWF Jersey State title 7-28 in Bellmawr, NJ

Devastation Wrestling Federation
In association with Over the Top Promotions
Proudly Presents
Rise of the Phoenix
Saturday July 28th
At Sportz Central
300 Benigno Blvd.
Bellmawr, NJ 08031
7:30 PM Bell Time

As some of you may know, Number one contender to the DWF Jersey State Title Breaker Morant suffered a horrific injury and will not be able to compete on the July 28th DWF Supershow known as *Rise of the Phoenix* .. We here at the DWF have been searching high and low for some one to take Breaker's place in that title match against DWF Jersey State Champion Vinny the Fixxer.. Lucky for us Vinny's big mouth made this so much easier.. For the past few weeks Vinny has being going on and on about how great he is and that he has held this DWF Jersey State title for over a year pushing back challenges from the likes of Tommy Force, Glen Osborne, Nikolai Volkoff. Then fate's hand came into play... While driving home from a show Vinny was listening to the radio when he came across the Scotty & Alex show... He was listening to their funny antics when he noticed Alex was talking about his close personal friend Nick Berk.. Nick Berk is well known in the world of professional wrestling of one of the brightest stars in this business.. He has wrestled for the WWE, JAPW, CZW, PWU and all of the biggest federations.. He has wrestled all over the world and had taken on the very best in this sport .. Despite all of Nick Berks accomplishments and accolades, Vinny the Fixxer was outraged that Nick Berk was getting all this publicity on the top rated Scotty & Alex radio show on Philly's Number One Radio Station 94 WYSP.. He immediately called DWF General Manager Atticus Rheighns and demanded a one on one match with the "Raw Superstar" Nick Berk.. Our GM Atticus Rheighns has know Nick Berk for many years now going back to their days in CZW and knows how talented a wrestler he is so he made the match... To Vinny's protest though the match will be for the DWF Jersey State Title.. When asked for comments Vinny had this to say " How come I have to listen to a couple of brain dead piss ants like Scotty & Alex talk about Nick Berk? They should be talking about me.. I am the best damn thing to ever happen to the sport of professional wrestling.. I am the the future of this business, Not Nick Berk... Now I am not knocking Nick Berk's skills.. He is a talented wrestler who has done a lot in this business.. I am just saying that he is not in my league.. Listen up Scotty & Alex.. You two nothing happening miscreants do not even belong watching wrestling, let alone talking about it on the radio.. Who the hell do you two think you are? I am a professional wrestler.. You guys are the scum that drips from all the thousands of ring rats lips as the drool over the picture of perfection known as Vinny the Fixxer... True Nick Berk is an amazing wrestler and probably the toughest challenge I will have faced to date but I will defeat him just like I defeated every one else the DWF has thrown in front of me... I personally invite one or both of you to come watch me manhandle the "Raw Superstar" in that ring, then I will demand you have an entire show dedicated to the very best wrestler you or any one else has ever laid eyes on, and that is me, Vinny the Fixxer".. I know for a fact that this match will be amazing so if you have not yet purchased your tickets I recommend you do so now because there is no any you will want to miss this match!!

NECW Returns with DOUBLE INTENSITY, Friday Night, July 20th in Quincy & Saturday Night, July 21st in Danvers!

New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action with huge
back to back events called DOUBLE INTENSITY, Friday night, July 20th at
the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA and the
following night, Saturday, July 21 at the National Guard Armory in Danvers.
Friday night's bell time is 8:00 PM. Saturday night event will start
at 7:00 PM.

Next weekend, "The Real Deal" Brandon Locke, the new NECW Television
Champion, gets a rare double opportunity to rise to the top of the heap
in NECW with a pair of matches against NECW Triple Crown Champion, D.C.
Dillinger. Locke already owns a non-title victory over Dillinger from
June 3rd at the Hot Dog Safari. Combined with Locke's recent TV title
victory over "The Exotic" Kristian Frost, this could be double trouble
for the Triple Crown Champion. Locke's TV title is not on the line in
either match, so "The Real Deal" has nothing to lose and everything to
gain.

Also Friday night in Quincy: Last month, World Women’s Wrestling
Champion, Tanya Lee was defeated in a non-title match by Lexxus. These two
will collide again at DOUBLE INTENSITY, this time with the gold on the
line. Last month was the second time Lexxus has pinned Tanya Lee.
The first time was last month in Danvers in a mixed tag team match. It
appears that Lexxus has Tanya Lee’s number and the belt could change
hands in Quincy.

For many months now, “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion has been
embroiled in a feud with the faction known as DNA. Last month in Quincy the
situation came to a head and a challenge was made. It will be a special
gauntlet match where Alex Arion must face and defeat all three members
of DNA (“The Talent” T.J. Richter, Max Bauer and “Sensational”
Scott Reed) in succession. If Arion wins, his brother “Big Guns”
Frankie Arion (who lost a retirement match to Richter in September)
will be reinstated. If DNA win, “The Golden Greek” must retire.
It’s an all-or-nothing battle with the career on one of NECW’s all
time greats on the line.

In a special challenge match, “Straight Edge” Brian Fury must face
one more test before getting a shot against NECW Triple Crown Champion,
D.C. Dillinger. To get the title match, Fury must defeat the 2007
IRON 8 Champion, “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards. Edwards is also one half
of the NECW Tag Team Champions with D.C. Dillinger.

Speaking of championships, NECW President, Sheldon Goldberg has
informed D.C. Dillinger that according to NECW by laws, no wrestler is allowed
to hold two championships at the same time. He has given Dillinger
until July 20th to decided whether he will continue as Triple Crown
Champion or be one half of the NECW Tag Team Champions with “Die Hard”
Eddie Edwards. Goldberg has made it clear to Dillinger, that should he
fail to make a decision on July 20th, he will make the decision for
him.

Also in Quincy , former Triple Crown Champion, “The Human
Nightmare” Evan Siks collides with Big Rick Fuller in a continuation of the
bitter feud between two former friends who are now bitter enemies. Batten
down the hatches, as this will be another wild collision.

In other bouts, The Wild Boys take on the father and son duo of The
Baker Boys.

The following night in Danvers, it will be another international TV
taping for NECW TV.

In addition to Dillinger vs. Brandon Locke, tag team action is on the
menu as the mysterious masked duo calling themselves The Forgotten make
their NECW debut against former tag team champions, The Dogs Of War.

Also in tag team action, former NECW Tag Team Champions, PRIDE make
their return to NECW action to face the masked tandem of Kreeper and
Iraqnid.

In other bouts, the rookie sensation, Scott Osbourne battles "Big" Rick
Fuller, "Straight Edge" Brian Fury takes on "Mr Undefeated" Matt
Spectro and former tag champs, The Canadian Superstars collide with
Triplelicious and Pat Masters.

All this, plus "The Human Nightmare" Evan Siks, "The Exotic" Kristian
Frost, a World Women’s Wrestling feature match and more! You never
know what will take place on a TV taping!

Tickets for both of these events are on sale at all FYE and
Strawberries locations and online at www.NECWwrestling.com.

Summer Sizzler Weekend Live Events July 21-22 @ West Paterson:
Ross Family Members Challenge for Championship Gold

(WEST PATERSON, NJ)- Feel the heat as live Independent Wrestling Federation action returns with Summer Sizzler Weekend on Saturday, July 21, 7:30 pm, and Sunday, July 22, 4:00 pm, at IWF Centre, 32 Willow Way, West Paterson, NJ. Here is a preview...

The card for day one July 21st features a gigantic Double Main Event as Ross Family Members challenge for championship gold. In an IWF Heavyweight Title Match, champion Tony Torres of Latin Revolution with Eloy Fiesta faces the 340-pound mastodon Franciz with Commissioner Rich Ross. This month on the Eruption Webcast on www.WrestlingIWF.com, Torres and Franciz' hatred for one another spilled all over IWF Centre in two separate uncontrollable brawls. Now they settle their differences July 21 with the gold at stake. Can Franciz put an abrupt end to Torres' eight-month title reign?

The IWF Tag Team Titles are up for grabs in a rematch from last month's Commissioner's Cup Tag Team Tournament Finals as champions Kevin Knight and Nick Sabre battle IWF American Champion Travis Blake and Outlaw Shane O'Brien of The Ross Family. After Blake and SOB upended Knight and Sabre to capture the 5th Annual Commissioner's Cup Crown on June 24, they now look to regain the titles on behalf of Boss Ross. Blake himself is a former four-time co-holder of tag gold while O'Brien shared the belts on two previous occasions.

In a Triple Threat Elimination Match for the IWF Junior Heavyweight Title, champion Antonio Rivera of Latin Revolution meets Jana and former American Champion Chris Steeler. The bickering duo of Jana and Steeler were eliminated from the Commissioner's Cup last month by Latin Revolution. Their split continues as they enter this three-way-dance with Rivera's belt going to the sole survivor.

There is a number one contender's bout for a future IWF American Title shot against Travis Blake that pits former Tag Team Champion partners Steve Camacho and Burnin' Mike Durnin against one another in singles competition. Friendship will be set aside as only one man can claim this coveted contender's spot to challenge for the American Title.

In other singles action July 21st, Daniel Schwartz squares off against former American Champion Justin Corino, while Big Nick Gregory tangles with the rugged Frank Scoleri. Referee is Jason Roberts.

On day two July 22nd, the formidable duo of Justin Corino and Frank Scoleri challenge for the IWF Tag Team Titles against the winning team of the match from the previous evening between Kevin Knight and Nick Sabre, and Travis Blake and Shane O'Brien. As they discussed on the Eruption Webcast, Corino and Scoleri advanced to the semifinals of the Commissioner's Cup and proved they are more than worthy of a title shot.

In a Special Challenge Match, Antonio Rivera with Eloy Fiesta must defy the odds and attempt to slay Franciz with Commissioner Rich Ross. After their bouts from the previous evening, will Rivera still hold the Junior Title as he walks into this contest, and will Franciz be the new Heavyweight Champion?

Also appearing July 22 are IWF Champion Tony Torres, Steve Camacho, Mike Durnin, Chris Steeler, Dan Marques, Jason Roberts, Jana, and referee Matt Bennett. Much more to be announced, so check back soon for details.

Contribution is $10 per event general admission. With your Saturday ticket stub, Sunday is half-price at $5. Tickets available at the door 30-minutes before bell-time. For information visit www.WrestlingIWF.com. Cards subject to change.

Watch the July edition of the Eruption Webcast on www.WrestlingIWF.com, which provides a recap of the Commissioner's Cup, and a preview of the upcoming Summer Sizzler Weekend.
