-The big announcement coming out of the show is Masakatsu Funaki will
be coming out of retirement to fight on K-1's New Year’s Eve in Japan
Funaki was a long time Pancrase veteran with a 38-11-1 has fought some
of the biggest names in the sport. His last fight was on 5/26/00 where
he lost to Rickson Gracie via Rear naked choke. It has been a long
layoff the the popular Japanese fight and it will be interesting to see
who he fights on 12/31.

-Vitor Ribeiro, Caol Uno,and Kultar Gill have advanced to the 2nd round
of the 155 lbs tournament. 2nd round will take place in September. More
then likely defending K-1 Hero’s Grand Prix Champion Gesias "JZ"
Calvancanti will get a bye and be placed in the 2nd round.

-A lot of fans who watched this fight on the forums feel Kiyoshi Tamura
was robbed of the decision. This takes steam out of a Kiyoshi Tamura
vs. Kazushi Sakuraba fight that could be made later this year.

-K-1 announced the attendance for the show was 11,310
