We are seeking feedback from anyone who ordered the ROH Respect is Earned PPV. The PPV will be on The DISH Network's all day ticket on today, which could be the last airing for DISH. There are lots of replays on InDemand, so check your listings to see where it airs. The DVD of the show will be released on 8/20 featuring the remainder of the show, which was taped last May, as extras.

ROH's Japan trip was considered a big success (creatively and financially, according to numerous sources) and there are plans for another one next year, likely in conjunction with Pro Wrestling NOAH and Dragon Gate. While in Japan, ROH management met with NOAH owners Mitsuharu Misawa for the first time to discuss future business. Sapolsky wrote on the ROH website that while visiting NOAH's offices, he ran into Kenta Kobashi, "training like a madman" for his in-ring comeback.

ROH President Caey Silkin was a huge star while the company was in Japan, particularly Osaka, where he was swarmed by fans for autographs and photos. Silkin was brought into the ring at NOAH's Budokan Hall show (which ROH management attended and sat ringside for during the main event) when they plugged the ROH event the next night and was given a nice round of applause.

Nigel McGuinness was actually knocked out during his ROH championship match against Takeshi Morishima in Tokyo on 7/16, but is OK. The only other casualty of the trip was booker Gabe Sapolsky, who's luggage was lost on the trip home and apparently has yet to return to Philadelphia.

ROH is also expected to continue their relationship with Dragon Gate, although with DG and ROH running so many events on the same dates in the future, it's going to be harder to bring DG stars Stateside. The two companies are still on strong terms.

Ring of Honor has canceled their planned return to Great Britain this October. I believe there was a fallout of sorts with local promoter Alex Shane. As I mentioned a few weeks ago on my PWInsider.com Elite Hotline, ROH is working towards a Canadian debut later this year.

I had the chance to check out the "Good Times, Great Memories" DVD featuring the Colt Cabana farewell. If you get the chance, the entire farewell segment to Cabana is well worth going out of your way to see. One interesting thing that was mentioned by Cabana is that ROH owner Cary Silkin was the "savior" of the company and really, if it wasn't for Silkin, the promotion likely would have been out of business in March 2003. Silkin is really modest about his role in the company's survival and growth but deserves a lot of credit for not just sticking with it, but pushing the promotion to improve and grow from the perspectives of live events, production and expansion both on PPV and internationally.

The main event for the 8/25 return to the Manhattan Center on Summerslam eve will be ROH champion Takeshi Morishima vs. Bryan Danielson which will be Danielson's first ROH title shot since losing the belt in December 2006 to Homicide. On paper, that's going to be off the charts. For ticket information, visit www.ROHWrestling.com.

Ring of Honor will return this Friday 7/27 to Deer Park, Long Island with ROH Tag Team champions The Briscoes vs. Bryan Danielson & Nigel McGuinness on top. If you are going, get there early and/or make sure you have ordered tickets because it's a tiny venue and I suspect they'll be turning away fans. The show will also feature the opening round of the company's Race to the Top tournament featuring BJ Whitmer vs. Pelle Primeau, Davey Richards vs. Jigsaw, Erick Stevens vs. Chris Hero with Larry Sweeney, Delirious vs. El Generico, Claudio Castagnoli vs. Hallowicked, Matt Sydal vs. Mike Quackenbush, Jack Evans vs. Kevin Steen and Brent Albright vs. Matt Cross. Also scheduled for the show are Roderick Strong, Austin Aries, Jimmy Rave, Gran Akuma, Daizee Haze and more.

ROH's return to Edison, NJ this Saturday 7/28 features the company's first-ever "$10,000 Tag Team Challenge" eight man tag team bout with two captains (announced the day of the show) picking teams, plus the second, third and fourth round of the Race to the Top tournament.

Claudio Castagnoli & Nigel McGuinness vs. Chris Hero & Jigsaw has been added to 8/11 in Philadelphia with the big tease for the bout being an in-ring meeting between Hero and Castagnoli.

Additional upcoming dates for the promotion are 8/10 in Boston, MA; 8/11 in Philadelphia; 8/24 in Hartford, CT; 8/25 in NYC; 9/14 in Detroit, Michigan; 9/15 in Chicago Ridge, IL; 11/3 in New York City and 11/30 in Dayton, Ohio.
