Reynolds has promised Australian fans the group will play there
Klaxons singer Jamie Reynolds has postponed the group's Australian tour dates after he broke his leg at a French gig at the weekend.
The band's frontman said he "drastically misjudged" the distance when he jumped from the stage during their final song in the set.

Doctors have said he must keep his foot up or risk further complications.

In a message posted on social networking website MySpace, he said the group were "gutted" to be missing out.

Reynolds explained he had broken his tibia bone and a three-inch plate was holding it in place.

"A big apology to all those who've bought tickets for the gigs," he said.

The group had been scheduled to begin the tour in Sydney on 2 August and finish a week later in Perth.

The band, who have just been nominated for the Mercury Prize for their album Myths of the Near Future, have yet to set new dates for the Australian tour
