EX-1970s teen idol Leif Garrett was sentenced to 90 days in jail and three years' probation today. The 44-year-old actor and singer was facing a stretch behind bars after dropping out of rehab. Garrett, who appeared in court in orange jail garb, was taken into custody again on March 30 for testing "dirty" for drugs. Garrett was charged with heroine possession following his arrest for subway fare evasion in January, but was released from custody after entering the drug programme. He then tripped up during a drugs test just over two months later. He had previously pleaded guilty in March 2005 to attempted possession of cocaine-based narcotics and was placed on probation.
