Dark Shadows movie?

Now, before anyone gets excited. I read this in my newspaper when it was dealing with an article about Johnny Depp. It said that Johnny Depp's future endeavors would include a Dark Shadows movie where he'd be Barnabas. Can anyone else confirm this for me please?

I loved the classic TV Series, and personally liked the brief reworking in the 1990's.

Johnny Depp is a very intriguing casting choice as Barnabas Collins in a big screen adaptation. (I could also see Clive Owen in the role.)
