Mr Jackson has been hit with a string of legal claims for money
A Los Angeles law firm is suing singer Michael Jackson over claims that he owes them more than $113,000 (£57,000).

Lavely & Singers alleges he agreed in arbitration to pay $180,000 (£90,000) over three instalments.

But a complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court claims the superstar failed to make the final payment before the 31 July deadline.

Mr Jackson is trying to rebuild his career after being acquitted of child abuse in 2005.

His publicist Raymone Bain was not immediately available for comment. But the star has been plagued by debt troubles in recent years.

Last month, a judge ordered the 48-year-old to pay more than $256,000 (£129,000) in legal fees to another firm that handled some side issues during his 2005 trial.

Meanwhile, in June, lawyers settled out of court for an undisclosed sum after a finance company sued the pop star, claiming it was owed $48m (£26m).

Prescient Acquisition alleged it helped Mr Jackson find investors to help pay off a $272.5m (£145m) debt.
