Spin-off Joey proved less successful than Friends
Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is being sued by his former manager who claims he has failed to pay her fees worth $1m (£500,000).

Camille Cerio contends in court papers filed in Los Angeles that the actor agreed to pay commission on the pilot for Friends and "subsequent jobs".

Ms Cerio, who was his manager in 1994, says the payments ceased in 2000.

LeBlanc played Joey Tribbiani in the sitcom, which ended in 2004, and a spin-off series based on his character.

Award nominations

Ms Cerio's legal action, which claims breach of contract and unfair business practices, is requesting LeBlanc discloses how much he has earned from Friends and Joey.

She also claims that she is entitled to receive payments - worth 15% of the star's earnings - for as long as he receives income from the TV shows.

LeBlanc's lawyer has so far declined to comment on the case.

The 40-year-old actor starred as dim-witted but kind-hearted Joey in Friends for 10 years, earning six Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his performance.

The self-titled spin-off series was cancelled last year in the wake of poor ratings.
