CHICAGO – A lot of Americans are falling asleep on the job if a new survey is to be believed.
According to a poll by careerbuilder.com, 45 percent of those surveyed admit they’ve fallen asleep during their normal work day.Men are more likely than women to catch a few winks: 44 percent to 35 percent.
Meanwhile, kissing on the job is almost as popular as sleeping. A whopping 39 percent of employees say they’ve kissed a co-worker during work hours, including 44 percent of men.
Other naughty things that employees have done on company time:
-- 22 percent have stolen items from the office.
-- 22 percent have spread nasty rumors about a fellow co-worker.
-- 21 percent have boozed it up whle on the clock.
-- 18 percent snuck in the office after hours to do a little snooping.
-- 4 percent lied about their academic background in order to get hired.
-- 2 percent have taken credit for work done by a fellow employee.
