Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has given birth to a baby girl in a London hospital, The Sun newspaper has reported.
The singer, 33, checked into London's private Portland Hospital early Sunday and the child -- as yet unnamed -- was delivered one month early by Caesarean section at 9:00 pm (2000 GMT), the mass market tabloid said.
A spokesman for the hospital declined to confirm or deny whether Halliwell was a patient there.
But The Sun quoted an unnamed hospital source as saying: "Mother and daughter are doing fine."
Halliwell's mother, Anna Maria, was at her bedside and the baby was delivered by obstetrician Malcolm Gillard, who delivered her former band mate Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham's first child, Brooklyn, the paper added.
The newspaper claimed Halliwell refused to allow the baby's alleged father, 40-year-old Hollywood screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, to attend the birth.
Halliwell is said to have become pregnant after a brief, six-week fling with Gervasi following an introduction by British pop star and mutual friend Robbie Williams.
The relationship allegedly soured after a high-profile row. Halliwell has not officially acknowledged Gervasi as the father.
