Singer James Blunt asked gay U.S TV host Ellen Degeneres out on national television despite knowing she was a lesbian, Wenn reports.
Blunt offered Degeneres his phone number when she asked him if he was seeing anyone. The You're Beautiful singer added, "I am actually very effeminate." Degeneres, who came out in 1997 on The Oprah Winfrey Show, replied, "It's not going to work. But thanks for trying."
