NIGHT RAID: Britney Spears is furious after burglars raided her Beverly Hills mansion and made off with a collection of personal items.
Burglars who raided Britney Spears' Beverly Hills mansion are believed to have stolen the pop star's collection of home-made videos, personal photos and clothes.

The 25-year-old star was left in tears when she returned home from a night out at the five-star Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel at 2am to find thieves had raided her $6 million property.

The burglars are believed to have made off with Britney's collection of raunchy homemade videos and steamy photographs.

They also took items of clothing and personal pictures of her sons, two-year-old Sean Preston, and one-year-old Jayden James.

Britney's mother Lynne and sister Jamie, who flew in to Los Angeles from their home state of Louisiana, arrived just in time to help Britney through her latest ordeal.

It is the first time Britney and Lynne have seen each other since the Toxic singer accused her mother of taking Kevin's side in the custody battle for her sons and handed Lynne a letter telling her to stay away from her grandchildren.

However, following the shock custody ruling last week, the pair decided to put their differences behind them.

A source said: "Britney really needed her mum. So Lynne flew out and they met. Everything's great now."

On Saturday morning, Britney - wearing a revealing low-cut dress - drove to a nearby Santa Monica sweet shop to stock up on candy before meeting her sons.

While on her shopping trip, the singer was pictured clutching The Zohar, a book on the teachings of Kabbalah, a mystical offshoot of Judaism.

The star then changed into a tracksuit and grabbed lunch at a Taco Bell takeaway restaurant, before driving to the Malibu home she shared with ex-husband Kevin with her mother and sister to meet Sean and Jayden.

The troubled singer lost custody of her two young sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline last week.

Britney's single Gimme More soared 65 places to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart after selling 179,000 downloads.

Britney Spears' first studio album in four years will be called Blackout, and is due in New Zealand stores on November 12.
