Earlier this week it was reported Lindsay is desperate for film work after wasting her $7m fortune, and is currently thought to be staying in the Hollywood mansion of movie producer Tom Gores.
'Avoid temptation'
Lindsay's Hollywood return comes after her father Michael claimed his daughter planned to stay away from Tinseltown to avoid temptation.
He said: "She told me, 'Dad, I don't feel ready to go back to Hollywood.'
"That's how committed Lindsay is to her sobriety. She doesn't want to do anything to mess it up."
Lindsay is rumoured to be preparing to begin filming Dare to Love Me later this month.
The film is due out next year.
