HOUSE CALL: The home of British singer Amy Winehouse has been raided by police, according to reports.
Police have raided the North London home of Amy Winehouse, according to recent media reports.

TMZ.com says police used "battering rams and crowbars" to enter the property. It adds that Winehouse was at home at the time of the raids (5pm London time).

But London's Daily Mail claims that both Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil were out when the police broke in.

Despite Winehouse's recent spate of drug troubles, the raids were not drug-related.

It is believed the police were looking for information relating to Fielder-Civil's upcoming court case on assault charges. They left carrying several boxes.

A spokesperson for the singer told reporters: "The only thing I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with drugs and that Amy is fine and she has not been charged or arrested."

Scotland Yard confirmed the "police activity" at the property was part of an "ongoing police operation".

A Scotland Yard spokesperson said four men had been arrested as part of the investigation and were being questioned in regarding an alleged perversion of the course of justice.

The four men, two 25-year-olds, a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old, were arrested in a separate raid and are being held in an east London police station.
