Mark Bocek VS. Doug Evans

ROUND 1 — Evans connected on a flurry of punches a few minutes into the round to stagger Bocek. However, the jiu-jitsu ace eventually regained his composure and eventually score the needed takedown. However, Evans got the better of the round, 10-9.

ROUND 2 — Bocek looks for the takedown early and eventually gets it. Evans breaks free, but a second takedown proves more successful for Evans. After working for position, Bocek works ground and pound and connects on some well-placed elbow strikes to cut Evans. It’s 1 0-9 round for Bocek to tie it up.

ROUND 3 — Bocek again gets the early takedown, but he does little to improve the position, and the fight is stood up. Evans connects on a right hook that temporarily stuns Bocek. Bocek, though, pins Evans against the fence for the damage before dragging his opponent to the canvas. Evans tries kimura from the bottom but has little luck, and the fight is stood again. The bell ends, and it’s likely another 10-9 round for Bocek.

Roan Carneiro VS. Tony DeSouza

ROUND 1 — After a brief clinch, Carneiro takes DeSouza to the ground and nearly ends it with an arm-bar submission. Carneiro then works a rear-naked choke but DeSouza breaks free. Carneiro considers some elbows but grabs an arm, but DeSouza again escapes the submission attempt. The fighters trade shots to end the round, but Carneiro gets the better of it. We have it 10-9 for Carneiro.

ROUND 2 — DeSouza quickly clinches with Carneiro, but neither fighter looks especially fresh. After a brief lull of action with the fighters against the fence, the ref restarts them. After another clinch, Carneiro works for position and flings his opponent to the canvas. Carneiro considers a rear-naked choke but instead connects on a flurry of short punches from behind. After locking in his hooks, the assault continues, and DeSouza can’t defend himseld. The ref stops it for a TKO victory for Carneiro

Dean Lister VS. Jordan Radev

ROUND 1 — Lots of kicks early on as the fighters opt to stay on their feet. However, Lister eventually pushes forward for the takedown but the lazy attempt is stuffed. The round continues on in much the same fashion before Lister lands some flush body and leg kicks. Radev partially connects on a stiff left but does little to hurt Lister. Lister throws a few more kicks to close out the round to take it 10-9.

ROUND 2 — A slow start to the round before Radev starts to push the pace. Lister eventually connects on a couple body kicks but can’t get inside Radev’s reach for the takedown. Radev throws a few punches but does little damage. Lister shoots in and finally gets the takedown. He then transitions into mount, and Radev looks like he might be in trouble. Lister throws some punches before the round ends. It’s another 10-9 round for Lister.

ROUND 3 — The final frame is underway, and Lister considers some additional leg kicks. The pace slows, though, as both fighters gasp for breath. After clinching against the fence for most of the round, Radev looks for a haymaker. Lister scores a lazy takedown and works for position but does little with it. The round ends, and it should be 10-9 — and a clean sweep — for Lister.

Manny Gamburyan VS. Nate Mohr

ROUND 1 — Gamburyan wastes little time going for the takedown. Ducking his head and charging, he forced Mohr to try to sidestep “The Ultimate Fighter 5” runner-up. After finally forcing Mohr to the ground, Gamburyan scrambles, grabs a leg and locks in a submission to force the tap-out.

Rich Clementi VS. Melvin Guillard

ROUND 1 — The UFC bumps the bout order to start the night’s televised broadcast between bitter rivals Guillard and Clementi. Guillard shows his usual bit of class by flipping off Clementi as he enters the cage. Clementi lands an inside leg kick but keeps his distance. After a quick exchange of looping hooks, Clementi connects on a body kick. Guillard lunges for some punches but gets slammed to the canvas. Clementi takes his back and sinks in a body triangle.Guillard gets back to his feet, though. Guillard lands a big right hook that stuns Clementi and allows him to take top position on the canvas. Clementi looks for an armbar and transitions into top position. Clementi again takes Guillard’s back, softens Guillard with punches and then locks in a rear-naked choke. Guillard is forced to tap. Ever the gentleman, Guillard charges after Guillard and yells “Fuck you!” (though a replay shows Clementi initiated it).

Lyota Machida VS. Rameau Sokoudjo

ROUND 1 — Sokoudjo makes his UFC debut against a 205-pound contender in desperate need of an exciting win. Machida lands a straight left to open the fight and Sokoudjo counters with a big right hook and takedown, but Machida sweeps and reverses the position. Machida jockeys for position as Sokoudjo the kimura. Sokoudjo wants the mount, but Sokoudjo keeps him tied up in half guard. Machida throws some punches and elbows from the top, but they have little effect. Machida postures up and throws some punches, but again, there’s little damage. Sokoudjo looks for the guillotine from below, and after a lull in the action, they’re restarted on their feet. Little action to end the round as the fighters dance around and whiff on punches and kicks. Sokoudjo gets a late takedown, but it’s not enough to take the round. Machida takes it 10-9.

ROUND 2 –Machida throws a big head kick that was partially blocked and follows with a leg kick. Sokoudjo still looks fresh but can’t get inside on the counter-striker Machida. Machida whiffs on a head kick,Sokoudjo charges but can’t do anything. Machida lands another body kick. Sokoudjo charges and eats a left punch that drops him. Machida begins to rain down punches from the top. Sokoudjo keeps Machida tied up for the most part, but Machida nearly ends it with an arm-triangle choke. Sokoudjo now drops some quick elbows and looks like he may have bloodied his opponent. Machida finally passes guard, locks in the arm-triangle choke, and Sokoudjo is forced to tap out. Soa Palelei VS. Eddie Sanchez

ROUND 1 — Sanchez stalks Palelei and looks for the quick knockout punch. Palelei, though, pins him against the cage and slows the pace. After trading knees, Palelei slowly drags Sanchez to the mat but can’t get him in a controlled position. Sanchez works his way back to his feet. Palelei takes an accidental knee to the groin, and the bout is temporarily halted. Sanchez again looks for the quick punch, but Palelei ties him up against the cage. The ref warns the fighters to pick up the pace as the crowd grows restless. They’re separated, and Sanchez again looks for a knockout punch. Palelei tries to counter and falls down when he whiffs on a haymaker. Back on his feet, Palelei continues to throw sloppy punches before Sanchez ties him up against the cage and lands a solid uppercut. It’s a 10-9 round for Sanchez in a slow affair.

ROUND 2 — Palelei and Sanchez again are tied up against the fence as Sanchez looks for room to throw punches. Palelei wants to tie him up, but the ref restarts them. Sanchez starts to connect on some jabs as both fighters slow. Palelei throws a big looping right that connects, and he then pushes Sanchez back into the fence. The ref again restarts them, and Palelei throws a big right that just misses. Sanchez scores a trip takedown, but his opponent gets right back up. Sanchez again jabs and throws some combinations with little effect. The crowd appears dead aside from some boos.Sanchez throws a right hook and follows with two uppercuts that stun Palelei. The fight is again restarted in the center of the cage, and Palelei is now bleeding from the nose. Sanchez continues the attack and tees off. It’s a clear 10-9 round for Sanchez.

ROUND 3 — Palelei looks gassed, and Sanchez goes back to throwing punches and a few elbows while his opponent is pinned against the fence. Lots of blood now as Palelei slows. Palelei throws a knee to the body but eats a right-left-uppercut combo. Sanchez is now teeing off as Palelei tries to avoid the shots. Sanchez has no defense as he continues throwing punch after punch as Palelei tries to cover up. The crowd, though, still hasn’t come alive. Palelei is gushing blood now as Sanchez gets drenched in it. Palelei continues to try to tie up Sanchez, but his opponent throws a series of uppercuts. The ref asks Palelei if he wants to quit. The ref finally stops it as Palelei wipes blood from his eyes. Sanchez, though, starts yelling at his opponent.

Chuck Liddell VS. Wanderlei Silva

ROUND 1 — We’re underway, and Liddell fakes a leg kick. A “Chuck! Chuck!” chant erupts as both fighters avoid trading strikes through the first 45 seconds. Silva lunges for a right but misses. After tentatively trading jabs, Silva avoids Liddell’s right hook. Silva connects on a leg kick. Liddell throws a right that had Silva backpeddling, but he’s faking it and throws a punch of his own. A violent exchange against the cage before the fighters separate. Liddell throws a right hook and then works the jab. Liddell throws a head kick and Silva counters with a right. After trading soft leg kicks, Liddell lands a solid left-right combination and Silva answers with his own. Silva has some swelling around his right eye. Liddell lands a couple right jabs and Silva counters with a left which is followed by Liddell’s right. It’s an exciting one that should be 10-9 for Liddell.

ROUND 2 — A spirited exchange to start the round gives neither fighter the advantage. Silva looks content to counterstrike as Silva strikes while hopping in and out of range. Liddell lands a leg kick as Silva connects on a combination. Lots of short punches before Liddell hits the mat from a slip. He quickly gets back up, and Silva lands a body kick. Liddell lands a right hook but slips and hits the canvas again. He’s back up quickly. A couple good jabs from Liddell before a clinch. Liddell lands first with a left, and Silva starts bleeding. Lots of wild swinging now as Silva’s face pours blood from around his left eye. Silva sneaks in a right hook and then unloads a right-left-right-left combination. Both fighters trade a series of blows as the round ends, and Liddell drags Silva to the canvas. A hugely entertaining second half of that round. It’s a very close one, though Silva could have gotten it 10-9.

ROUND 3 — Silva’s eye is temporarily fixed, but Liddell scoresa quick double-leg takedown. The crowd moans. Silva gets back to his feet quickly. Silva lands a left but misses on the right before Liddell throws an overhand right from a distance. Liddell looks to be fresher, and the pace slows. Liddell tries a spinning backfist and then connects on a series of combinations that rock Silva. Silva is pushed against the fence and eating a series of blows. Liddell backs off, and they’re back in the center of the cage. Silva looks a little wobbly, and Liddell looks a little gassed. Back against the fence, Liddell again tees off on Silva and connects on a right. Silva counters with a punch of his own. One minute to go, and Liddell is waiting to now counter. Silva tries to stalk but can’t keep up with Liddell. Liddell scores a late trip takedown for the nail in that round. It’s a 10-9 round for Liddell in what should be a unanimous-decision victory.

Matt Hughes VS. Georges St. Pierre

ROUND 1 — After a quick touch of the gloves, Hughes looks for the early takedown, but St. Pierre has none of it. Little action in the first minute as Hughes tries another lazy attempt at a takedown. St.Pierre whiffs on a head kick before landing a body kick. Hughes shoots for the takedown, but St. Pierre quickly stuffs it and then sends Hughes to the canvas. Working in full guard, St. Pierre can do little as Hughes ties him up. Hughes intentionally moves the fight to the fence, and St. Pierre moves into half guard in the process. Back in full guard, St. Pierre drops some short elbows. St. Pierre now throws some body punches, and Hughes then eats some punches. Hughes continues to hang on, but St. Pierre throws punches and is warned not to hit the back of the head. St. Pierre is now in full mount and drop/slams Hughes into the canvas. St. Pierre is again warned about shots to the back of the head. Hughes tries to buck himself free but gives up his back as the round ends. It’s all St. Pierre, 10-9.

ROUND 2 — Hughes looks composed between rounds as Jeremy Horn barks instructions. The round is delayed as St. Pierre has a glob of Vaseline on his forehead. St. Pierre looks for the head kick before a clinch. St. Pierre easily powers a takedown and Hughes is sent to the canvas. St. Pierre unloads some ground and pound as Hughes tries to open a cut with elbow strikes. St. Pierre hops into half guard, but Hughes reclaims the full guard. More elbows from St. Pierre, but Hughes is avoiding the big shots. St. Pierre looks to pass guard, but Hughes ties him up. Hughes now tries to back out of the position, but St. Pierre works from side control and then quickly transitions into full mount with two minutes remaining. St. Pierre now takes his back before Hughes gets free. With Hughes on his knees, St. Pierre throws some knees to the body. Hughes breaks free and gets back to his feet while clinched. St. Pierre, though, quickly takes him back down and lands in sidemount. St. Pierre now looks for the kimura and nearly has it. Hughes verbally submits when the torque becomes too much.

Well glad that Lister won, Hopefully the Canadian St. Pierre can win and Liddell loses.

I think that both St. Pierre and Silva have pretty good chances, but I think that atleast one of them will end up losing.

Damn I can't stand Chuck, but at least the Canadian boy won...hopefully Serra has to give the title up now. If not St. Peire should beat him in a rematch.
