MUMMY'S CURSE: Brendan Fraser and wife Afton have separated after nine years of marriage.
The Mummy star Brendan Fraser has announced that he and wife Afton have separated after nine years of marriage.
Fraser's publicist Ina Treciokas said in a statement: "They continue to maintain a close and caring friendship."
The pair married in September 1998 and have three children, Griffin Arthur, Holden Fletcher, and Leland Francis.
It is not yet known if either Fraser or Afton has filed for divorce or if the actor has moved out of the former couple's family home in Los Angeles.
The 39-year-old star recently finished shooting The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the third instalment of the hugely successful film series in which he plays heroic character Rick O'Connell.
