iMPACT! Scores Highest Rating Ever, Beats out ECW

TNAWrestlingNews.com can report that last night's edition of TNA iMPACT! did a 1.2 cable rating, which is the highest rating ever for the show. TNA iMPACT! scored a 1.22 cable rating last night and a 1.00 in M18-49 (22% above ECW’s .82) a .88 in M18-34 (+42% above ECW’s .62) and an average audience of 1,623,000 viewers.

TNAWrestlingNews.com can also report that the Global iMPACT! special that followed it did a 0.8 cable rating. Last night's TNA: Global iMPACT! special (Thursday, 1/17/08 11P-12A) delivered a .76 rating among M18-49, a .52 among P18-49, a .78 among M18-34 and had an average audience of 949,000 viewers.

i wouldnt believe something coming off of tna's website when it's about comparing wwe to tna. I'm pretty sure they've had 1.2 rating before.. so that would be tying it's record not breaking it. tna marks sure do overexaggerate :P

TNA is not getting big. They're getting more exposure. They dont have the money to get bigger. It's ok eel, you're a tna fan :P

I'm guessing that the high rating had a lot to do with the main event.

The report states that this episode had an average audience of 1,623,000 viewers. That's precisely what has never happened before, and would warrant the claim of "Highest Rating Ever".

Also, this is not from TNA's website. TNAWrestlingNews.com is an independent wrestling news website, and even then, they surely didn't compile ECW's and iMPACT!'s rating themselves. The actual numbers obviously came from another source.

I didn't get this off of TNA's site, I got it off of TNAWrestlingNews.com. They aren't affiliated with TNA at all.

You are right though iMPACT! has scored a 1.2 rating before but that was rounded up from a 1.19. This edition of iMPACT! scored a 1.22 rating which gets rounded down to just a 1.2. It might not sound like much of a difference but it just means more viewers.
