BAD TASTE? Nude photos of Chris Benoit's slain wife Nancy have appeared in Hustler magazine.
Hustler magazine has published nude photos of the slain wife of dead WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, sparking a lawsuit.
Benoit - a well-known professional wrestler - killed his family, including his wife Nancy and seven-year-old son, in June last year in an incident that made headlines around the world.
The nude pics, taken of Nancy Benoit in 1983, were published in the March edition of Hustler magazine.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the lawsuit - filed by the estate of Nancy Benoit - tried to prevent the publication of the photos, which were taken by photographer Mark Samansky 25 years ago.
The suit contended that Nancy never gave permission for the photos to be used for a magazine whose content includes "graphic and sexual photographs of nude women".
But US Magistrate Judge Thomas Thrash denied requests for a temporary restraining order.
The attorney for LFP Publishing Group, which publishes Hustler, S Derek Bauer, applauded the decision.
"You can't unpublish speech already published. You can't unring the bell."
