Despite the lower-than-average number for last Thursday, Spike TV is said to be very pleased with TNA Impact’s generally increasing ratings. Spike is especially impressed by the record ratings now that TNA is not only going head-to-head with CSI, but yet another ratings giant is in the mix with Lost moving from Wednesdays to Thursdays.

However, in what has become a disturbing trend for the company, the main event is usually the least watched segment of Impact after constantly losing viewers throughout the show. With the main event usually being the hottest match on their show every week, not being able to hang onto viewers for it is a major problem facing TNA’s booking team right now. They attempted to fix the problem last week by having a big lead-up to the Angle wedding ceremony but had no such luck, drawing a disappointing 1.1 rating for the full two hours.

It's cuz no one wants to watch Angle rant for hours upon hours... throw the X-Division in the Main Event!
