Rey Mysterio will not be wrestling at WrestleMania after all. ProWrestling.net reports that he is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair his torn biceps muscle this Friday and will be out of action between four and six months.
After missing WrestleMania last year, Mysterio had his heart set on wrestling at this year's event and there were plans to do a Mysterio & Floyd Mayweather vs. Big Show & Shane McMahon match.
Mysterio, who was seen briefly shown backstage on Raw last night with Floyd Mayweather, has been been assured that he will still be involved in the angle at WrestleMania 24 in some way.
