Jim Rome Blasts Mayweather/WWE, Paul London Update, Hornswoggle/JBL

-- The Floyd Mayweather Jr. angle was featured on "Jim Rome is Burning" today on ESPN. Rome ragged on Mayweather saying, "Don't you know wrestling's fake? You're not actually supposed to hit the guy. What would have happened if you broke your hand on the Big Show's Cro-Magnon head?" Rome went on to say Mayweather should stay out of the wrestling ring and stick to boxing, not fighting people like Triple H or Montel Vontavious Porter. They showed various clips from the No Way Out PPV and last night's RAW.

-- WWE is really playing it up that Hornswoggle suffered a horrific injury at the hands of JBL on RAW. According to WWE.com, Hornswoggle's condition has stabilized and he is no longer in shock. However, he is still drifting in and out of consciousness and he may be suffering from bleeding on the brain. Pure storyline folks.

-- Paul London is still not fully healed from his foot injury. London did return at the February 4th RAW in his hometown of Austin, Texas but didn't work the match. London accompanied his tag partner, Brian Kendrick, last night in a Heat match against Lance Cade. London will continue to slowly work until he's fully recovered.

-- The Jim Rome comment was featured today in a Universe of Wrestling WWE news thread. Ill Will ragged on Jim Rome saying, "Don't YOU know wrestling is fake? You're not supposed to actually believe that what you see is spontaneous, because it's all planned out. Seeing someone like the WBC welterweight champion in a pro wrestling ring should have been a not-so-subtle hint that whatever happens in the previously mentioned ring is just an angle that is all planned out. What would have happened if you had actually took the time to think before you commented on what you saw, instead of just spouting your mouth off like an idiot?" Will went on to say that Rome should stick to commenting on things he's actually familiar with, like horrible sports analysis, horrible interviewing skills, and being an all-around dick, not the vastly confusing world of pro wrestling, who's average viewer these days is about 12 years old.
