Barrett lands six-game suspension

Wigan-bound stand-off Trent Barrett will miss the next six NRL games after being found guilty of striking Great Britain international Brian Carney.
No action was taken against the St George Illawarra captain during the game with the Newcastle Knights.
But a television employee sent a tape of the incident to the authorities.
Barrett, 28, who joins Wigan next season, accepted an early guilty plea as an appeal could have given him a longer suspension.
Pictures showed Barrett's forearm came into contact with Carney's head but the Irishman will be fit to line out for the Knights against the Canterbury Bulldogs on Saturday.
Barrett will return to action from the ban with seven games left in the regular season before his move to England.
