DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES actor KYLE MacLACHLAN's wife has banned him from watching the birth of his first child up close.
Desiree Gruber is expecting the couple's first baby, a son, this summer (08), and the actor is keen to be by his wife's side during labour.
But he has been warned he will not be allowed too close.
The Twin Peaks star, who is currently attending delivery classes with Gruber, reveals, "Desiree already said, `You're not going down there.' In fact, she'd rather have me outside the door."
