According to a rumour circulated today by UK Games Magazine PSM2, a Rockstar rep has revealed to them that the forthcoming next generation Grand Theft Auto game will be set across six different European cities.

The magazine also claims that the game will be ready to be unveiled at this year’s E3 Expo in Los Angeles in May, with a view to being released with an initial period of exclusivity on PlayStation 3. The magazine then goes on to claim that GTA4 will be released at the end of 2006.

Whilst SPOnG has looked into recent similar rumours about the next GTA iteration being set in London – lookee here – we will be meeting with a Rockstar games PR representative later this very week, and will hopefully be in a much better position to clear up some of this rumour and hearsay which seems to be keeping lots of games forum posters very busy. Until we hear some confirmation from the horse’s mouth, so to speak, we will not comment any further or add any credence to these rumours

Lets hope they actually try and change these games up. I am a big fan of GTA 3 but thats it. Vice City and San Andreas even though they had dynamically differn't storylines did not change in gameplay at all! They just added useless things like body types, hair cuts, and eating. A bunch of bullcrap that doesnt need to be in a game like that. Hopefully the Ps3 versions will be something amazing and something of worth thats actually going to blow gamers away instead of giving them a 4 hour fix and then getting bored.
