CZW NEWS AND NOTES out of BEST OF THE BEST

- In a matter of moments, CZW fans saw the fullfillment of a destiny... and the destruction of an unforgettable evening as a bruised and battered "Black Jesus" Sabian defied the odds on multiple occasions to capture the BEST OF THE BEST trophy. Sabian's incredible accomplishments were overshadowed however as Chuck Taylor ambushed the Black Jesus moments after the final bell, buried him with the Awful Waffle and then cashed in his title shot (won in February at AERIAL ASSAULT), and with an assist from shady Referee and resident scumbag Derek Sabato, became the new CZW World Junior Heavyweight Champion.

- Among the obstacles Sabian had to overcome in becoming BOTB Champion - the reappearance... AGAIN... of Devon Moore and Drew Blood. Known together as Notorious Inc, the duo attempted to distract Sabian during his first round match, only to be chased off by CZW World Champ Nick Gage. CZW cameras were on hand as Notorious Inc. bailed thru the front door and attempted to flee the scene in a waiting vehicle in a nearby parking lot. There were attempts were thwarted due to a run-in with John Zandig himself. The video can be viewed now at CZWRESTLING.com

- Kylie Pierce was once again victimized by Brodie Lee at BOTB. The Nutritonal Guru for 2 Girls, 1 Cup found herself in the ring during the Brodie/Greg Excellent Hardcore War and took a vicious sit-out powerbomb into a pit of thumbtacks. Once again, the "piece of ass" (as referred to by Beef Wellington) had to be helped out of the ring and has sustained numerous injuries. CZWNews will attempt to follow up on Kylie's status in the coming weeks.

- Drew Gulak took another major step in his emergence as a serious threat in the CZW Junior Heavyweight Division. The former CZW Tag Team Champion advanced to the 2nd round of the BOTB Tournament, where he took eventual winner Sabian to the limit in a riveting semi-final matchup. Gulak defeated Pinky Sanchez and Spyral in the opening round. Drew will return to singles action on May 17th in non tournament action at TOURNAMENT OF DEATH.

- Sabian wasn't the only one to leave the New Alhambra with a trophy on Saturday night. LuFisto was the winner of the annual "Fan's Choice" award, given to a runner-up who the fans deemed to have given the best performance in the tournament. Lufisto, who made history as the first woman to ever compete in Best of the Best advanced to the semi finals after her win over Scotty Vortekz and Josh Prohibition in the opening round.

- The field for TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 7, this SATURDAY (May 17th) in SMYRNA DELAWARE was completed on Saturday night. Andy Sumner, Mickie Knuckles, and WHACKS advanced to TOD via their survival in the ULTRAVIOLENT SURVIVAL match. Diehard Dustin Lee was pinned, and thus lost out on entry into the prestigious Tournament. The "Hollywood" Necro Butcher was also entered into the tourney via Danny Havoc's victory over Nicky Benz.

- THE BEST AROUND - T.J. Cannon and Bruce Maxwell delivered on their promise to make an impact in their CZW debuts at BEST OF THE BEST. The duo were responsible for the elimination of Drake Younger before falling to defeat at the hands of The Black Jesus in the opening round. CZW cameras caught up with TBA following their match and learned that the duo intends to become mainstays in the CZW tag team division.

- Joe Gacy and Alex Colon, CZW's newest breakout tag team had a run-in with a fan in the parking lot during Saturday night's show. The arrogant young duo assaulted the fan, leaving him laying on the pavement and fleeing before officials could catch up with the former students. CZW cameras were on hand to catch the encounter and the video will be made available on CZWrestling.com in the coming weeks.

- CZWrestling.com is in full TOURNAMENT OF DEATH mode! In the coming days, the website will be updated with hype videos, and exclusive interviews with many of the TOURNAMENT OF DEATH participants. One particular video featuring Pinky Sanchez and Ultraviolent Icon John Zandig was described by witnesses as "epic" and will be made available ASAP.
