Some more details have been released after it was reported last week that Carlito is once again unhappy with his current role in WWE again courtesy of report by Dave Meltzer in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Carlito is said to be unhappy lately about his lack of a push that was promised to him and more specifically after he and Santino Marella lost to Cryme Tyme on the June 9th Raw. It seemed almost a lock that they were going to win the WWE World Tag Team Titles, but nothing materialized despite many feeling Carlito and Marella had one of the best out of the ring chemistry of any team in the company right now. Carlito was reportedly upset when the decision was made to push the debuting Ted DiBiase Jr. into the fold for an eventual run with the tag titles.

It should be noted that Carlito's frustrations with WWE go back more than a year as he gave noticed at the end of the year that he was leaving. A meeting with Vince McMahon would later see him get talked out of his decision and he was promised a bigger push. When the push never happened he became unhappy, while at the same time the Raw creative team was giving him conflicting stories about his long-term future and he was sensing that Brian Gewirtz wasn't looking at pushing him anymore on TV.

With television ratings down lately, Gewirtz has reportedly been pressured to devote more time to the show with the "money players" or top guys that have been in the mix longer. Those close to Carlito had suggested he make a play to try and move to the ECW brand where he could be more of a headliner or on Smackdown which has a huge Hispanic audience that they market towards. There are said to be positives and negatives for a move to ECW as he could be a headliner, but with the plan to move the brand to Raw coming up it will make spots on the House Show cards more competitive. Smackdown seems more of a positive with the ECW crew no longer touring with them starting in August and that Michael Hayes would at least give him an opportunity he never had while on Raw.

There is also said to be talk that Vince McMahon may not try and stop him from asking for his release the second time around and simply let him go. This could mean Carlito would end up working for WWC or TNA. Many feel TNA would welcome him with open arms despite the new tone backstage that they would like to shine away from bringing in former WWE talent and create more home grown talent. While the positive for going to WWC and TNA is that he would be a huge star, he would be earning a lot less although he seemed ready to leave a year ago. The new belief is that he might even be trying to get himself fired after making some comments about Triple H during a recent WWE press conference in Chile saying that Triple H being married to Stephanie McMahon was a smart move since he is champion again and doesn't have to deliver every night at the level other guys do to earn the title. While it is no secret that a majority of the WWE roster feels this same way, most are smart enough to never say it publicly like Carlito did and that has caused many to feel he wants out right away.

Let him leave, he sucks anyways. Carlito and Santino may have had great out-of-ring chemistry, but Santino is a horrible wrestler and Carlito is mediocre at best, both in wrestling and promos. So, yeah, Santino has great promos, but not deserving a title run worth.

Looks like he's stuck unless there is a second online draft...

I have never liked Carlito, I don't like his gimmick or his wrestling. I would not be sad to see him go. and the way he is going, it will be soon.
