- Rey Mysterio is still in negotiations with WWE on a new contract. He was under the impression his contract was close to expiring, but WWE added 10 months to the contract due to his injury. WWE negotiates contracts a year before they expire.

- The original plan was for Triple H to face John Cena at SummerSlam. Around WrestleMania 24 the match was moved to Night of Champions.
