ATLANTA -- The Gwinnett Braves announced a deal Wednesday that puts all their games on radio station WDUN Newstalk 550 AM.
The minor-league team will begin playing in a new stadium in Gwinnet in 2009.
The five-year deal puts 144 regular season games plus any playoff games on WDUN. A pre- and post-game show will accompany each game broadcast.
"WDUN 550 will be a great partner for us and we look forward to having them start the team’s new chapter in Gwinnett," said Bruce Baldwin, Gwinnett Braves General Manager in a release.
Current and longtime WSB-AM 750 radio sports director, Tony Schiavone, will be heard on all WDUN games as the play-by-play announcer. He will be joined in the booth by Judd Hickinbotham for all home games.
WDUN will kick off the 2009 season by hosting a one hour inaugural program live from the new Gwinnett ballpark before the first home game.
