"WWE vs ECW Head to Head" Special - 7th June 2006
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Commentators: Jim Ross & Jerry "The King" Lawler (WWE) and Joey Styles & Tazz (ECW)
- The WWE promo hits. Following this, we see a live shot of Mick Foley backstage with the WWE stars of RAW and SmackDown. Foley said the ECW stars are coming here to humiliate them and they can't allow that to happen. World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio calls them a bunch of punks. We then see Paul Heyman backstage with the ECW stars. Justin Credible is spotted along with Kurt Angle, The Sandman, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer and others. They all start a loud "ECW" chant at the request of Heyman.
- An opening video plays welcoming us to "WWE vs. ECW Head to Head." We then go live to Dayton where a huge display of pyro goes off. There is a giant RAW TitanTron setup and next to it is a smaller ECW entrance. We first get welcomed to the show by Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler representing WWE and then get tossed to Joey Styles and Tazz representing ECW.
- JR and The King promote the 20 Man Battle Royal tonight. Styles & Tazz promote WWE Champion John Cena vs. Sabu. Tazz tells Lawler that it is a small miracle he isn't "beating his ass" right now and warns him about their match at ECW One Night Stand this Sunday. Lawler taunts at Tazz and says he looks like a frog and that he could jump over here now if he wanted. Tazz stands up and JR and Joey Styles break it up.
- World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio's music hits and he appears representing WWE and the SmackDown brand. Out next is "Mr. Money in the Bank" Rob Van Dam representing ECW. All of the ECW guys enter through the crowd as a separate entrance area through the crowd is setup.
Non-Title Match
World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio (WWE) vs. "Mr. Money in the Bank" Rob Van Dam (ECW)
The bell rings and here we go. Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam shake hands. Both back up, Mysterio goes behind RVD and takes him out with a quick dropkick. Both jump up quickly and face off as the fans cheer. They smile and shake hands again. Mysterio comes back with a kick, jumps on the shoulders of RVD, but RVD gets Mysterio up in a military press slam and drops Mysterio. RVD follows that up with a huge moonsault. Mysterio comes back dropkicking RVD on the back. Mysterio goes for the 619, but RVD counters. RVD tries to springboard off the top rope, but Mysterio dropkicks him and RVD falls back. Mysterio misses a baseball slide, RVD grabs Mysterio and drops him over the guard railing. RVD jumps up on the guard railing, slips and falls. RVD jumps back up, attempts a leg drop, but Mysterio moves. RVD grabs his leg in pain, Mysterio climbs up the top turnbuckle in the ring, jumps and takes out RVD with a huge cross-body into the front row of the crowd. We then take our first commercial break.

- A promo for ECW on the Sci Fi Channel starting this Tuesday night is shown.
We are back live and Mysterio attempts a bulldog on RVD, but RVD throws Mysterio over the top rope. RVD gets in an elbow on Mysterio, goes up to the opposite top turnbuckle, the crowd goes nuts, RVD leaps and kicks Mysterio off the top ropes to the floor below. RVD goes to the outside, throws Mysterio back in the ring, but keeps his head peaking out from under the bottom rope. RVD then uses the ropes to leap over and drop a leg over the neck of Mysterio. Mysterio grabs his neck in pain, RVD hooks the leg, but only gets a two count. RVD then drop toe holds Mysterio into the corner. RVD leaves the ring, grabs a steel chair and the fans cheer loudly. RVD gets in the ring with the steel chair, backs up, runs around the ring and drives it right into the face of Mysterio. RVD bows to the crowd as they cheer loudly. RVD covers Mysterio, but Mysterio kicks out once again after two. RVD sends Mysterio into the opposite corner, grabs another steel chair and comes back in the ring with it. RVD does a flip, drops the chair, Mysterio nails RVD, grabs him by the head and bulldogs him right on top of the steel chair from the corner! Mysterio hooks the leg of RVD...1...2...RVD kicks out. With RVD still down over the steel chair, Mysterio leaves the ring, goes to the ring apron, springboards off the top rope, attempts a leg drop, but RVD moves and Mysterio lands on the steel chair. RVD puts the steel chair over the body of Mysterio, goes up to the top rope, leaps, Mysterio throws the steel chair off and RVD connects with the Five Star Frog Splash. RVD hooks the leg of Mysterio...1...2...3.
Winner: Rob Van Dam
After the match, we see a live shot of the ECW stars celebrating Rob Van Dam's victory over World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio. Joey Styles says the exact same thing will happen at ECW One Night Stand when RVD beats JOhn Cena for the WWE Championship. RVD celebrates in the ring and then helps Mysterio to his feet. RVD grabs the World Title and hands it to Mysterio. Mysterio falls to the corner as RVD continues to celebrate in the corner. RVD leaves the ring and slaps the hands of Joey Styles and Tazz.
- We then see a clip from WWE Monday Night RAW two days ago when Randy Orton returned to WWE and took out Kurt Angle with an RKO. Jim Ross mentions how Orton has accepted Angle's open challenge at the ECW One Night Stand PPV this Sunday. We see a live shot of Kurt Angle heading to the arena and that he will address what happened on Monday next.

- Another promo for ECW TV on the Sci Fi Channel starting this Tuesday night at 10pm Eastern/9pm Central is shown.
- The music of Kurt Angle hits and he comes out representing ECW. Angle gets into the ring, throws his arms up in the air and a display of pyro goes off behind him. Angle gets on the mic and says a lot of people probably thought he would have been upset that Randy Orton came to RAW in his hometown and gave him an RKO. Angle said he wasn't upset. He said a few months ago, he snapped Randy's ankle in two and he loved every second of it. Angle said he loved hearing Randy Orton squeal like a pig. He said of all the times that he has broken people's ankles, that was his all time favorite. Angle said he is glad Orton answered his open challenge because at ECW One Night Stand because they will face off for the first time ever. He said Orton will be facing ECW's Kurt Angle, not the former WWE Champion or Olympic Gold Medalist. He added the ECW Kurt Angle doesn't take sh*t. Randy Orton's music hits and he comes out on a mic. Orton asks Angle if the "ECW Kurt Angle" is suppose to scare him. The crowd starts a loud "ECW" chant. Orton says he feels bad for Angle. He said he went from main eventing WrestleMania...to ECW. Orton said it is like going from starring in a blockbuster movie to starring in hardcore porn. He said ECW fans probably enjoy hardcore porn because it is the closest they will come to having sex. Orton said he wants to reach the top of the ladder and that a year ago, he was drafted to SmackDown. Orton said one expired contract later, things have changed. He said he knows he will face ECW's Kurt Angle. But Kurt Angle will now face Monday Night RAW's own Randy Orton. Angle said that is great, but says he doesn't think he understands the concept of ECW's Kurt Angle. He said this is a new ECW, a new breed unleashed. Angle said for the first time in his life, he doesn't have to worry about offending Vince McMahon or corporate sponsors. All he has to worry about is kicking ass. Angle said he will give him an example. He said at ECW One Night Stand, he will break his arms, his legs and that Orton will crawl out of Hammerstein Ballroom with a broken freaking neck. Orton calls Angle a smug son of a bitch. He said he broke his ankle two months ago and if that wouldn't have happened, he would have stood here now the World Heavyweight Champion. Orton said instead he thought day after day how he would get back at Kurt Angle and that this Sunday will be just that. He said it is no coincidence that he got drafted to ECW just as he returned to WWE. Orton said he is talking about destiny, his destiny. Orton says Kurt Angle might be the new face of ECW, but at One Night Stand, he will beat Angle so bad that the success of ECW will fail. He said this Sunday, he won't only kill Kurt Angle, but he will kill the legend of ECW. Orton drops his mic and his music hits as both men stare each other down. Wow, Orton looked lost on the mic at the end.

- We see a shot of WWE Women's Champion Mickie James skipping to the arena representing WWE. We also see a shot of Jazz making her way to the arena representing ECW. Mickie James vs. Jazz is up next.

WWE Women's Champion Mickie James (WWE) vs. Jazz (ECW)
The bell rings and both lock up. James works on the left arm of Jazz. Jazz counters and flips James down. Jazz goes to work on the left arm of James. James misses a clothesline and Jazz kicks James twice followed by a big dropkick. Jazz then leaps off the ring apron and takes out James on the outside. Jazz throws James back in the ring. Jazz misses a splash in the corner when James moves. James goes for a kick, but Jazz ducks and drops James down face first with a facebuster. Jazz hooks the leg of James, but James gets her leg on the bottom rope. James then grabs Jazz and hits a big Impaler DDT. James covers Jazz and gets the pinfall.

- Todd Grisham is backstage with WWE Champion John Cena. They show a clip from MOnday Night RAW when ECW stars attacked Cena. We go back live and Cena said what you just saw puts into perspective just how important this is. He said for the first time ever this Sunday, a WWE Championship Match will take place at an ECW pay per view. Cena said if Rob Van Dam beats him, the legendary WWE Title will go to ECW. The same title held by Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin will be gone and now made the ECW Title. Cena said he will then be represented as the biggest goat in wrestling history and that he has tons of pressure on him. He said the Hammerstein Ballroom will be filled with zero WWE fans and filled with hardcore ECW fans. Cena said if he stands tall at the end of the night over RVD, things will just be getting started as he will be in the middle of a riot in New York City. He said on Monday night ECW made a point. Tonight, he makes his point against Sabu. Cena said they have officially pissed off a fire breathing son of a bitch.
- We go back live and Lilian Garcia introduces ECW's Paul Heyman. Heyman thanks Lilian. Heyman says it is a bit overwhelming that he is right now involved in the return of ECW and that ECW returns to network television next Tuesday night at 10pm ET/9pm CT on the Sci Fi Network. He said it gets his heart pumping just thinking about the return of ECW, noting that it won't just be like how they were and that it will be a new breed. Heyman says ECW will kick off first this Sunday at ECW One Night Stand live on pay per view. He promotes John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam for the WWE Championship, Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle, Tazz vs. Jerry Lawler, Terry Funk & Tommy Dreamer vs. Edge & Mick Foley and Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu for the World Heavyweight Championship. Heyman says for those who aren't sold yet on ECW One Night Stand, he presents what happened at last year's ECW One Night Stand PPV when ECW returned to PPV for the first time in years. A well done highlight video package airs from ECW One Night Stand last year.
- Kurt Angle is backstage live with the ECW stars. He said he chose ECW because they were the most vicious son of a bitches on the planet. Angle starts an ECW chant with the stars as they head out. We then see Big Show talking to the WWE stars (even Tatanka is there). He said Kurt Angle betrayed everyone in WWE. Big Show says Angle is out for himself. He said the WWE stars are different. Big Show says some guys are from RAW, some guys are from SmackDown, but tonight, they are all WWE. He said tonight, WWE will show ECW what they are all about. Up next is the 20 Man Battle Royal.

- We are live and Lilian Garcia talks about the stipulation for the upcoming 20 Man Battle Royal. It will consist of 10 WWE stars and 10 ECW stars. Over the top rope elimination rules apply until the last man stands.

* Balls Mahoney (ECW) is eliminated.
* Bobby Lashley (WWE) is eliminated.
Left in the ring for WWE is Big Show, Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin, Finlay and Edge (who is still on the outside). Left for ECW is Kurt Angle and The Sandman. We take another commercial break.
===COMMERCIAL BREAK===
We are back live and Randy Orton tosses The Sandman over the top rope.
* The Sandman (ECW) is eliminated.
Kurt Angle then tosses Shelton Benjamin out.
* Shelton Benjamin is eliminated.
Big Show, Randy Orton and Finlay then circle around Kurt Angle. Angle takes out Finlay and Orton with belly-to-belly suplexes. Big Show grabs Angle, attempts a chokeslam, Angle counters and hits the Angle Slam! Edge is still on the outside looking in. Finlay then takes out Angle, picks him up and hits another clothesline. Finlay hits a second clothesline on Angle. Finlay lifts Angle up on the top rope. Angle uppercuts Finlay, gets in a double-leg takedown and catapults Finlay over the top rope.
* Finlay (WWE) is eliminated.
Edge comes in the ring and waits for Angle to get up. Edge charges, Angle grabs Edge and suplexes him over the top rope.
* Edge (WWE) is eliminated.
Randy Orton then tosses Kurt Angle over the top rope.
* Kurt Angle (ECW) is eliminated.
Randy Orton starts to celebrate along with Big Show. However, Big Show tears off his RAW t-shirt and reveals an ECW t-shirt on underneath. Orton has a confused look on his face. Big Show grabs Orton and tosses him over the top rope.
* Randy Orton (WWE) is eliminated.
Winners: Team ECW
After the match, Kurt Angle looks back at Big Show and smiles. Big Show smiles back. The fans in Dayton are shocked. Angle comes in the ring and hugs Big Show. They celebrate with the fans. We see another shot of Angle and Big Show chanting ECW and saying nothing will stop them now.
- A promo for ECW One Night Stand this Sunday night (June 11) on PPV airs. This promo highlights the WWE Championship Match between John Cena and Rob Van Dam.

- Another promo for ECW on Sci Fi airs.
- Backstage, we see the ECW stars celebrating live with Kurt Angle and Big Show. Big Show downs a beer that is handed to him from Paul Heyman. Big Show says he only has one thing to say...E-C-W! They all continue to celebrate and start a loud ECW chant.
- Live in the ring, we see Edge, Mick Foley and Lita. The following match will have Extreme Rules. Edge gets on the mic and says if you want to talk about hardcore, Mick Foley is the man to talk about it. Edge says he has a surprise for Mick Foley. He directs him to the TitanTron. An ECW promo from 1995 with Mick Foley is shown. The promo is Foley talking about how hardcore wrestling is a lie and that hardcore fans are selfish. We then hear the new generic music for Tommy Dreamer hit. Dreamer comes out with Terry Funk at his side with a 2x4 covered in barbed wire in hand.
Extreme Rules
Edge (WWE) vs. Tommy Dreamer (ECW)
The match starts with Edge with a steel chair and Dreamer with the barbed wire covered 2x4. Dreamer misses Edge twice and they go to the outside. Dreamer sends Edge into the steel steps. Dreamer throws Edge back in the ring. Dreamer nails Edge over the back with a street sign. Lita holds onto the leg of Dreamer when he goes off the ropes. Edge grabs the street sign and nails Dreamer over the head with it. Edge gets a pan and nails it over the back of Dreamer. Edge grabs a trash can, plants it in the middle of the ring, but Dreamer counters with a swinging neckbreaker on Edge. Dreamer sets up a steel chair in the middle of the ring. Dreamer picks up Edge, but Edge counters and drop toe holds Dreamer face first into the chair. Edge grabs a trash can lid, nails Dreamer in the face with it and then drops it over his head. Edge picks up Dreamer and drives him into the trash can with a big DDT. Edge covers Dreamer, but Dreamer kicks out after two. Dreamer comes back low blowing Edge with his boot in the corner. Dreamer gets Edge in the tree of woe and Dreamer stands on the groin of Edge. Dreamer puts a steel chair over the face of Edge, backs up, charges and baseball slides Edge right in the face. Dreamer then gets a table from under the ring with help from Terry Funk. Dreamer sets up a table near the corner. Wow, Joey Styles & Tazz are really going at it on the mic against Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross. It is almost distracting from the actual match. Dreamer gets Edge set up in the corner when Terry Funk comes in and takes out Lita who tried to interfere. Foley comes in and puts barbed wire around the neck of Funk. On the top rope, Edge has Dreamer almost ready for a powerbomb. Dreamer counters and gives Edge a high back body drop. Edge completely misses the table and grabs his back in pain. Dreamer picks up Edge and hits the Death Valley Driver through the table. Dreamer covers Edge, but Lita breaks up the pinfall cracking a singapore cane over his back. Dreamer grabs Lita, gets her up on his shoulders for a powerbomb, but Edge charges and takes out Dreamer with a Spear. Edge hooks the leg of Dreamer and gets the pinfall.
Winner: Edge
After the match, we continue to see Terry Funk beating on Mick Foley at ringside. Foley gets busted open from the attack by Funk. Funk backs off and attends to Dreamer in the ring. We see a shot of Foley, Edge and Lita trying to recooperate.
- A video package for "See No Evil" airs.
===COMMERCIAL BREAK===
- We are back live and a bloody Mick Foley is shown sitting in a steel chair in the middle of the ring with a spotlight on him. He asks the fans where the hell they get off telling him he sold out. Foley asks where they find the nerve to call him a whore. He said he loved ECW, but ECW didn't love him back. Foley said ECW was like the girl he couldn't get away from, but the girl that makes him sick each time he saw her. He said ECW asked too much from his life and he left. Foley said he found fame and fortune in WWE. He said Paul Heyman was right, there is only one difference between him and Tommy Dreamer. He is a whore and Dreamer isn't. Foley said he pulled a sock out of his pants for Vince McMahon and the doors of opportunity opened wide for him. But not Tommy Dreamer. All Tommy Dreamer has is ECW. He said the truth about his match with Edge at WrestleMania 22 was that it probably wasn't as good as he thought. Foley said he and Edge need to be tougher than ever this Sunday against Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk. He said Funk is the most dangerous man in ECW. Foley said Funk wakes up every day in pain. He said he blew up Funk in Japan and he hugged him. He set him on fire in Philadelphia and put his arm around him. Foley said now Funk doesn't put his arm around him anymore. He said he had the guts to go to WWE. The fans boo. Foley tells the fans to shut their mouths. He said he will go to the Hammerstein Ballroom this Sunday and go to war with the sick twisted whore known as ECW. Foley said he wants ECW out of his life. He said he will unleash the most pain he has ever put out against Terry Funk and Tommy Dreamer this Sunday at One Night Stand. Foley said when he walks into the Hammerstein Ballroom as a WWE legend, Funk and Dreamer will know what loss means. Foley ends his promo with "Have a nice day."
- Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler talk about ECW One Night Stand could be the final match for one of the four involved in that match or even all four together. Tazz cuts off Lawler on the mic and tells him to shut up. Lawler tells Tazz he has more wrestling ability in one of his farts than Tazz does. Tazz stands up. Lawler throws down his headset and approaches Tazz. Tazz stares down Lawler and throws down his headset. Tazz taunts Lawler. Lawler throws an extremely stiff punch at Tazz. Tazz throws one back. Lawler charges at Tazz and they brawl over the ECW announce table. They fall to the ground and Tazz tries to take down Lawler. They eventually both go down and WWE referees start to break it up. Jim Ross says they have a TV show to do. Joey Styles says "who gives a rats ass and let them go."
- Up Next: WWE Champion John Cena vs. Sabu.

- Another promo for ECW's debut on the Sci Fi Channel next Tuesday at 10pm ET/9pm CT airs.
- We are back live and Joey Styles says things have calmed down between Jerry Lawler and Tazz. Tazz tells Lawler to wait until Sunday. Jim Ross says it is time to continue the show.
- A video package runs highlighting the contract signing on Monday Night RAW between John Cena and Rob Van Dam for the WWE Championship Match at ECW One Night Stand. This went into Paul Heyman introducing ECW stars to Cena so he could get a taste before the PPV this Sunday.
Non-Title Match - Extreme Rules
WWE Champion John Cena (WWE) vs. Sabu (ECW)
Both men enter the ring and the bell rings. The crowd in Dayton starts a loud "SABU" chant. Cena goes after Sabu right away and takes him down with right hands. Cena takes down Sabu with an elbow, elbow drop and covers, but only gets a two count. Cena nails Sabu off the corner and gets in more rights and lefts. Cena grabs Sabu and hits a quick suplex. Cena covers, but Sabu kicks out once again after two. Cena adds in a few elbows on Sabu. Sabu comes back with a boot to the face, but Cena comes back grabbing Sabu and planting him in the middle of the ring. Cena covers and gets another two count. Cena jumps on Sabu and adds more rights. Sabu and Cena exchange some right hands. Wow, Tazz is laying in some cheap shots on Lawler on the mic about "high school" girls. Either you get it or you don't. Sabu low blows Cena with his boot and then takes him out on the outside flying over the top rope. Sabu grabs a steel chair and throws it into the face of Cena on the ground. Sabu grabs Cena and throws him back in the ring. Cena gets up again and Sabu again launches a steel chair at Cena. Sabu sets up a steel chair, jumps off it, springboards off the top rope and hits a big moonsault on Cena. Sabu covers Cena, but only gets a two count. Sabu sets up the steel chair near the corner, jumps off it and hits heel kick. Sabu then drops the steel chair over the face of Cena when coming down in a double-leg drop. They go to the outside and Sabu sends Cena into the steel steps. Sabu nails Cena with a right and throws him on the WWE announce table. Sabu drops a leg over the back of the neck on Cena on the table. Cena falls off and Sabu drops another leg drop over his neck. Sabu throws Cena back in the ring, covers, but Cena kicks out after two. Sabu sets up a steel chair near the corner again, Cena stands up in the corner, Sabu runs, jumps, Cena catches Sabu, throws him up on his shoulders and hits the FU. Cena then locks on the STFU on Sabu. Big Show, representing ECW, hits the ring and takes out Cena.
Winner via DQ: John Cena
After the match, the ring fills with WWE stars taking out Sabu and Big Show. More ECW stars come out. The ring is filled with WWE stars and ECW stars brawling. We see a shot of RVD nailing Cena with right hands. WWE and ECW stars continue to brawl as the show goes off the air...

- JR and The King promote the 20 Man Battle Royal tonight. Styles & Tazz promote WWE Champion John Cena vs. Sabu. Tazz tells Lawler that it is a small miracle he isn't "beating his ass" right now and warns him about their match at ECW One Night Stand this Sunday. Lawler taunts at Tazz and says he looks like a frog and that he could jump over here now if he wanted. Tazz stands up and JR and Joey Styles break it up.
- World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio's music hits and he appears representing WWE and the SmackDown brand. Out next is "Mr. Money in the Bank" Rob Van Dam representing ECW. All of the ECW guys enter through the crowd as a separate entrance area through the crowd is setup.

World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio (WWE) vs. "Mr. Money in the Bank" Rob Van Dam (ECW)
The bell rings and here we go. Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam shake hands. Both back up, Mysterio goes behind RVD and takes him out with a quick dropkick. Both jump up quickly and face off as the fans cheer. They smile and shake hands again. Mysterio comes back with a kick, jumps on the shoulders of RVD, but RVD gets Mysterio up in a military press slam and drops Mysterio. RVD follows that up with a huge moonsault. Mysterio comes back dropkicking RVD on the back. Mysterio goes for the 619, but RVD counters. RVD tries to springboard off the top rope, but Mysterio dropkicks him and RVD falls back. Mysterio misses a baseball slide, RVD grabs Mysterio and drops him over the guard railing. RVD jumps up on the guard railing, slips and falls. RVD jumps back up, attempts a leg drop, but Mysterio moves. RVD grabs his leg in pain, Mysterio climbs up the top turnbuckle in the ring, jumps and takes out RVD with a huge cross-body into the front row of the crowd. We then take our first commercial break.

- A promo for ECW on the Sci Fi Channel starting this Tuesday night is shown.
We are back live and Mysterio attempts a bulldog on RVD, but RVD throws Mysterio over the top rope. RVD gets in an elbow on Mysterio, goes up to the opposite top turnbuckle, the crowd goes nuts, RVD leaps and kicks Mysterio off the top ropes to the floor below. RVD goes to the outside, throws Mysterio back in the ring, but keeps his head peaking out from under the bottom rope. RVD then uses the ropes to leap over and drop a leg over the neck of Mysterio. Mysterio grabs his neck in pain, RVD hooks the leg, but only gets a two count. RVD then drop toe holds Mysterio into the corner. RVD leaves the ring, grabs a steel chair and the fans cheer loudly. RVD gets in the ring with the steel chair, backs up, runs around the ring and drives it right into the face of Mysterio. RVD bows to the crowd as they cheer loudly. RVD covers Mysterio, but Mysterio kicks out once again after two. RVD sends Mysterio into the opposite corner, grabs another steel chair and comes back in the ring with it. RVD does a flip, drops the chair, Mysterio nails RVD, grabs him by the head and bulldogs him right on top of the steel chair from the corner! Mysterio hooks the leg of RVD...1...2...RVD kicks out. With RVD still down over the steel chair, Mysterio leaves the ring, goes to the ring apron, springboards off the top rope, attempts a leg drop, but RVD moves and Mysterio lands on the steel chair. RVD puts the steel chair over the body of Mysterio, goes up to the top rope, leaps, Mysterio throws the steel chair off and RVD connects with the Five Star Frog Splash. RVD hooks the leg of Mysterio...1...2...3.

After the match, we see a live shot of the ECW stars celebrating Rob Van Dam's victory over World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio. Joey Styles says the exact same thing will happen at ECW One Night Stand when RVD beats JOhn Cena for the WWE Championship. RVD celebrates in the ring and then helps Mysterio to his feet. RVD grabs the World Title and hands it to Mysterio. Mysterio falls to the corner as RVD continues to celebrate in the corner. RVD leaves the ring and slaps the hands of Joey Styles and Tazz.
- We then see a clip from WWE Monday Night RAW two days ago when Randy Orton returned to WWE and took out Kurt Angle with an RKO. Jim Ross mentions how Orton has accepted Angle's open challenge at the ECW One Night Stand PPV this Sunday. We see a live shot of Kurt Angle heading to the arena and that he will address what happened on Monday next.

- Another promo for ECW TV on the Sci Fi Channel starting this Tuesday night at 10pm Eastern/9pm Central is shown.
- The music of Kurt Angle hits and he comes out representing ECW. Angle gets into the ring, throws his arms up in the air and a display of pyro goes off behind him. Angle gets on the mic and says a lot of people probably thought he would have been upset that Randy Orton came to RAW in his hometown and gave him an RKO. Angle said he wasn't upset. He said a few months ago, he snapped Randy's ankle in two and he loved every second of it. Angle said he loved hearing Randy Orton squeal like a pig. He said of all the times that he has broken people's ankles, that was his all time favorite. Angle said he is glad Orton answered his open challenge because at ECW One Night Stand because they will face off for the first time ever. He said Orton will be facing ECW's Kurt Angle, not the former WWE Champion or Olympic Gold Medalist. He added the ECW Kurt Angle doesn't take sh*t. Randy Orton's music hits and he comes out on a mic. Orton asks Angle if the "ECW Kurt Angle" is suppose to scare him. The crowd starts a loud "ECW" chant. Orton says he feels bad for Angle. He said he went from main eventing WrestleMania...to ECW. Orton said it is like going from starring in a blockbuster movie to starring in hardcore porn. He said ECW fans probably enjoy hardcore porn because it is the closest they will come to having sex. Orton said he wants to reach the top of the ladder and that a year ago, he was drafted to SmackDown. Orton said one expired contract later, things have changed. He said he knows he will face ECW's Kurt Angle. But Kurt Angle will now face Monday Night RAW's own Randy Orton. Angle said that is great, but says he doesn't think he understands the concept of ECW's Kurt Angle. He said this is a new ECW, a new breed unleashed. Angle said for the first time in his life, he doesn't have to worry about offending Vince McMahon or corporate sponsors. All he has to worry about is kicking ass. Angle said he will give him an example. He said at ECW One Night Stand, he will break his arms, his legs and that Orton will crawl out of Hammerstein Ballroom with a broken freaking neck. Orton calls Angle a smug son of a bitch. He said he broke his ankle two months ago and if that wouldn't have happened, he would have stood here now the World Heavyweight Champion. Orton said instead he thought day after day how he would get back at Kurt Angle and that this Sunday will be just that. He said it is no coincidence that he got drafted to ECW just as he returned to WWE. Orton said he is talking about destiny, his destiny. Orton says Kurt Angle might be the new face of ECW, but at One Night Stand, he will beat Angle so bad that the success of ECW will fail. He said this Sunday, he won't only kill Kurt Angle, but he will kill the legend of ECW. Orton drops his mic and his music hits as both men stare each other down. Wow, Orton looked lost on the mic at the end.

The bell rings and both lock up. James works on the left arm of Jazz. Jazz counters and flips James down. Jazz goes to work on the left arm of James. James misses a clothesline and Jazz kicks James twice followed by a big dropkick. Jazz then leaps off the ring apron and takes out James on the outside. Jazz throws James back in the ring. Jazz misses a splash in the corner when James moves. James goes for a kick, but Jazz ducks and drops James down face first with a facebuster. Jazz hooks the leg of James, but James gets her leg on the bottom rope. James then grabs Jazz and hits a big Impaler DDT. James covers Jazz and gets the pinfall.

- Todd Grisham is backstage with WWE Champion John Cena. They show a clip from MOnday Night RAW when ECW stars attacked Cena. We go back live and Cena said what you just saw puts into perspective just how important this is. He said for the first time ever this Sunday, a WWE Championship Match will take place at an ECW pay per view. Cena said if Rob Van Dam beats him, the legendary WWE Title will go to ECW. The same title held by Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin will be gone and now made the ECW Title. Cena said he will then be represented as the biggest goat in wrestling history and that he has tons of pressure on him. He said the Hammerstein Ballroom will be filled with zero WWE fans and filled with hardcore ECW fans. Cena said if he stands tall at the end of the night over RVD, things will just be getting started as he will be in the middle of a riot in New York City. He said on Monday night ECW made a point. Tonight, he makes his point against Sabu. Cena said they have officially pissed off a fire breathing son of a bitch.
- We go back live and Lilian Garcia introduces ECW's Paul Heyman. Heyman thanks Lilian. Heyman says it is a bit overwhelming that he is right now involved in the return of ECW and that ECW returns to network television next Tuesday night at 10pm ET/9pm CT on the Sci Fi Network. He said it gets his heart pumping just thinking about the return of ECW, noting that it won't just be like how they were and that it will be a new breed. Heyman says ECW will kick off first this Sunday at ECW One Night Stand live on pay per view. He promotes John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam for the WWE Championship, Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle, Tazz vs. Jerry Lawler, Terry Funk & Tommy Dreamer vs. Edge & Mick Foley and Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu for the World Heavyweight Championship. Heyman says for those who aren't sold yet on ECW One Night Stand, he presents what happened at last year's ECW One Night Stand PPV when ECW returned to PPV for the first time in years. A well done highlight video package airs from ECW One Night Stand last year.
- Kurt Angle is backstage live with the ECW stars. He said he chose ECW because they were the most vicious son of a bitches on the planet. Angle starts an ECW chant with the stars as they head out. We then see Big Show talking to the WWE stars (even Tatanka is there). He said Kurt Angle betrayed everyone in WWE. Big Show says Angle is out for himself. He said the WWE stars are different. Big Show says some guys are from RAW, some guys are from SmackDown, but tonight, they are all WWE. He said tonight, WWE will show ECW what they are all about. Up next is the 20 Man Battle Royal.

We are back live and Randy Orton tosses The Sandman over the top rope.
* The Sandman (ECW) is eliminated.
Kurt Angle then tosses Shelton Benjamin out.
* Shelton Benjamin is eliminated.
Big Show, Randy Orton and Finlay then circle around Kurt Angle. Angle takes out Finlay and Orton with belly-to-belly suplexes. Big Show grabs Angle, attempts a chokeslam, Angle counters and hits the Angle Slam! Edge is still on the outside looking in. Finlay then takes out Angle, picks him up and hits another clothesline. Finlay hits a second clothesline on Angle. Finlay lifts Angle up on the top rope. Angle uppercuts Finlay, gets in a double-leg takedown and catapults Finlay over the top rope.
* Finlay (WWE) is eliminated.
Edge comes in the ring and waits for Angle to get up. Edge charges, Angle grabs Edge and suplexes him over the top rope.

Randy Orton then tosses Kurt Angle over the top rope.

Randy Orton starts to celebrate along with Big Show. However, Big Show tears off his RAW t-shirt and reveals an ECW t-shirt on underneath. Orton has a confused look on his face. Big Show grabs Orton and tosses him over the top rope.

After the match, Kurt Angle looks back at Big Show and smiles. Big Show smiles back. The fans in Dayton are shocked. Angle comes in the ring and hugs Big Show. They celebrate with the fans. We see another shot of Angle and Big Show chanting ECW and saying nothing will stop them now.

- Backstage, we see the ECW stars celebrating live with Kurt Angle and Big Show. Big Show downs a beer that is handed to him from Paul Heyman. Big Show says he only has one thing to say...E-C-W! They all continue to celebrate and start a loud ECW chant.
- Live in the ring, we see Edge, Mick Foley and Lita. The following match will have Extreme Rules. Edge gets on the mic and says if you want to talk about hardcore, Mick Foley is the man to talk about it. Edge says he has a surprise for Mick Foley. He directs him to the TitanTron. An ECW promo from 1995 with Mick Foley is shown. The promo is Foley talking about how hardcore wrestling is a lie and that hardcore fans are selfish. We then hear the new generic music for Tommy Dreamer hit. Dreamer comes out with Terry Funk at his side with a 2x4 covered in barbed wire in hand.
Extreme Rules
Edge (WWE) vs. Tommy Dreamer (ECW)
The match starts with Edge with a steel chair and Dreamer with the barbed wire covered 2x4. Dreamer misses Edge twice and they go to the outside. Dreamer sends Edge into the steel steps. Dreamer throws Edge back in the ring. Dreamer nails Edge over the back with a street sign. Lita holds onto the leg of Dreamer when he goes off the ropes. Edge grabs the street sign and nails Dreamer over the head with it. Edge gets a pan and nails it over the back of Dreamer. Edge grabs a trash can, plants it in the middle of the ring, but Dreamer counters with a swinging neckbreaker on Edge. Dreamer sets up a steel chair in the middle of the ring. Dreamer picks up Edge, but Edge counters and drop toe holds Dreamer face first into the chair. Edge grabs a trash can lid, nails Dreamer in the face with it and then drops it over his head. Edge picks up Dreamer and drives him into the trash can with a big DDT. Edge covers Dreamer, but Dreamer kicks out after two. Dreamer comes back low blowing Edge with his boot in the corner. Dreamer gets Edge in the tree of woe and Dreamer stands on the groin of Edge. Dreamer puts a steel chair over the face of Edge, backs up, charges and baseball slides Edge right in the face. Dreamer then gets a table from under the ring with help from Terry Funk. Dreamer sets up a table near the corner. Wow, Joey Styles & Tazz are really going at it on the mic against Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross. It is almost distracting from the actual match. Dreamer gets Edge set up in the corner when Terry Funk comes in and takes out Lita who tried to interfere. Foley comes in and puts barbed wire around the neck of Funk. On the top rope, Edge has Dreamer almost ready for a powerbomb. Dreamer counters and gives Edge a high back body drop. Edge completely misses the table and grabs his back in pain. Dreamer picks up Edge and hits the Death Valley Driver through the table. Dreamer covers Edge, but Lita breaks up the pinfall cracking a singapore cane over his back. Dreamer grabs Lita, gets her up on his shoulders for a powerbomb, but Edge charges and takes out Dreamer with a Spear. Edge hooks the leg of Dreamer and gets the pinfall.
Winner: Edge
After the match, we continue to see Terry Funk beating on Mick Foley at ringside. Foley gets busted open from the attack by Funk. Funk backs off and attends to Dreamer in the ring. We see a shot of Foley, Edge and Lita trying to recooperate.

- We are back live and a bloody Mick Foley is shown sitting in a steel chair in the middle of the ring with a spotlight on him. He asks the fans where the hell they get off telling him he sold out. Foley asks where they find the nerve to call him a whore. He said he loved ECW, but ECW didn't love him back. Foley said ECW was like the girl he couldn't get away from, but the girl that makes him sick each time he saw her. He said ECW asked too much from his life and he left. Foley said he found fame and fortune in WWE. He said Paul Heyman was right, there is only one difference between him and Tommy Dreamer. He is a whore and Dreamer isn't. Foley said he pulled a sock out of his pants for Vince McMahon and the doors of opportunity opened wide for him. But not Tommy Dreamer. All Tommy Dreamer has is ECW. He said the truth about his match with Edge at WrestleMania 22 was that it probably wasn't as good as he thought. Foley said he and Edge need to be tougher than ever this Sunday against Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk. He said Funk is the most dangerous man in ECW. Foley said Funk wakes up every day in pain. He said he blew up Funk in Japan and he hugged him. He set him on fire in Philadelphia and put his arm around him. Foley said now Funk doesn't put his arm around him anymore. He said he had the guts to go to WWE. The fans boo. Foley tells the fans to shut their mouths. He said he will go to the Hammerstein Ballroom this Sunday and go to war with the sick twisted whore known as ECW. Foley said he wants ECW out of his life. He said he will unleash the most pain he has ever put out against Terry Funk and Tommy Dreamer this Sunday at One Night Stand. Foley said when he walks into the Hammerstein Ballroom as a WWE legend, Funk and Dreamer will know what loss means. Foley ends his promo with "Have a nice day."
- Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler talk about ECW One Night Stand could be the final match for one of the four involved in that match or even all four together. Tazz cuts off Lawler on the mic and tells him to shut up. Lawler tells Tazz he has more wrestling ability in one of his farts than Tazz does. Tazz stands up. Lawler throws down his headset and approaches Tazz. Tazz stares down Lawler and throws down his headset. Tazz taunts Lawler. Lawler throws an extremely stiff punch at Tazz. Tazz throws one back. Lawler charges at Tazz and they brawl over the ECW announce table. They fall to the ground and Tazz tries to take down Lawler. They eventually both go down and WWE referees start to break it up. Jim Ross says they have a TV show to do. Joey Styles says "who gives a rats ass and let them go."

- We are back live and Joey Styles says things have calmed down between Jerry Lawler and Tazz. Tazz tells Lawler to wait until Sunday. Jim Ross says it is time to continue the show.
- A video package runs highlighting the contract signing on Monday Night RAW between John Cena and Rob Van Dam for the WWE Championship Match at ECW One Night Stand. This went into Paul Heyman introducing ECW stars to Cena so he could get a taste before the PPV this Sunday.

WWE Champion John Cena (WWE) vs. Sabu (ECW)
Both men enter the ring and the bell rings. The crowd in Dayton starts a loud "SABU" chant. Cena goes after Sabu right away and takes him down with right hands. Cena takes down Sabu with an elbow, elbow drop and covers, but only gets a two count. Cena nails Sabu off the corner and gets in more rights and lefts. Cena grabs Sabu and hits a quick suplex. Cena covers, but Sabu kicks out once again after two. Cena adds in a few elbows on Sabu. Sabu comes back with a boot to the face, but Cena comes back grabbing Sabu and planting him in the middle of the ring. Cena covers and gets another two count. Cena jumps on Sabu and adds more rights. Sabu and Cena exchange some right hands. Wow, Tazz is laying in some cheap shots on Lawler on the mic about "high school" girls. Either you get it or you don't. Sabu low blows Cena with his boot and then takes him out on the outside flying over the top rope. Sabu grabs a steel chair and throws it into the face of Cena on the ground. Sabu grabs Cena and throws him back in the ring. Cena gets up again and Sabu again launches a steel chair at Cena. Sabu sets up a steel chair, jumps off it, springboards off the top rope and hits a big moonsault on Cena. Sabu covers Cena, but only gets a two count. Sabu sets up the steel chair near the corner, jumps off it and hits heel kick. Sabu then drops the steel chair over the face of Cena when coming down in a double-leg drop. They go to the outside and Sabu sends Cena into the steel steps. Sabu nails Cena with a right and throws him on the WWE announce table. Sabu drops a leg over the back of the neck on Cena on the table. Cena falls off and Sabu drops another leg drop over his neck. Sabu throws Cena back in the ring, covers, but Cena kicks out after two. Sabu sets up a steel chair near the corner again, Cena stands up in the corner, Sabu runs, jumps, Cena catches Sabu, throws him up on his shoulders and hits the FU. Cena then locks on the STFU on Sabu. Big Show, representing ECW, hits the ring and takes out Cena.
Winner via DQ: John Cena
After the match, the ring fills with WWE stars taking out Sabu and Big Show. More ECW stars come out. The ring is filled with WWE stars and ECW stars brawling. We see a shot of RVD nailing Cena with right hands. WWE and ECW stars continue to brawl as the show goes off the air...
