Amman - The head of Jordan's Islamic Action Front said on Sunday that two of his party's members who attended the wake for al-Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi have been arrested.
Mohammed Abu Fares and Jaafar al Hourani, both members of parliament, have been arrested, Hamza Mansour, head of the Islamist party told The Associated Press.
Jordanian officials were not immediately available for comment.
The men attended al-Zarqawi's wake on Friday, held at his family home just outside the Jordanian capital Amman.
The two other front members who also paid their condolences to the family, Ali Abu Sukkar and Ibrahim al-Mashwakhi, told the AP that they were at prayers when police went to their homes on Sunday looking for them.
Parliament and the public have criticised the four, saying their gesture shows a lack of respect for the 60 victims of the triple hotel bombing in Jordan last November for which al-Zarqawi's group claimed responsibility.
