The band 'celebrate' new album and donate all money to charities
Metal Gods Metallica have confirmed that they will play a on-off charity gig at London's O2 with tickets priced at just £5.
The band, who releases their new album Death Magnetic next month, will play the concert on September 15th at the arena. It will be preceded by a concert at O2 World in Berlin, where tickets will cost 10€.
In the band's statement, they described the gigs as a celebration:
"Because this is a celebration, ticket prices will be, shall we say, 'retro',"
"Only ten Euros for Berlin, five pounds in London! And the best part is that all the proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to local charities."
Metallica headline this weekend's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
