- Lillian, whose wrist is still wrapped from her unplanned bump last week, sings the National Anthem. Afterwards, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are announced and make their way down to the ring.

- Kane swipes away the refs who try to help him and rolls off the black Landing pad. The crowd chants 'Kane, Kane' and Kane struggles to walk backstage, behind the column of monitors.

- Todd Grisham has three autographed t-shirts for whoever can answer trivia. Doug is asked which tag team lost the Tag Team Championship 4 days after winning them to the New Age Outlaws: Rock & Mankind, Austin & Mankind, or Al Snow & Mankind? He said Austin & Mankind and was wrong as it was Snow & Mankind. Jason is asked which year the draft lottery was held in State College: 2002, 2003, or 2004? He said 2004 and was wrong as it was 2002. Shawn is asked which superstar Scotty 2 Hotty won the Light Heavyweight Championship from in April 2000: Crash Holly, Essa Rios, or Dean Malenko?
He said Malenko and was right. Todd told the crowd to study up for next time.

- The school bell rings and Matt Striker comes out to his classroom set up on the stage. He says he's in Penn State so there's no learning going on here. He says these people prefer violence over intelligence, tables over talent, and blood over brains. It doesn't take creativity to come up with the juvenile chants they come up with. He then asks the crowd to rise and join him as he starts his own chant, "Let's Read Books!" He continues chanting it as the crowd chants 'a**hole' at him. He says he's only trying to help because after all, he is Matt Striker, our teacher. He continues to chant 'Let's Read Books!' as he goes through the curtain.

- Todd is back out for Sign of the Night. The signs included: Bow Down to the Game and Edge on the reverse side, I Slept with Mae Young to Get These Seats, Three Things I Hate: Cena, Michigan, and the WNBA, Marry Me Trish, King of Kings, Champ or Not We Still Love You, Mickie James Fan Club, HBK is Cooler Than You, Blame Striker: He Taught Paul Heyman to Count, My Name is Armando Alejandro Esssssssssssssstrada!, Edge Stole Big Ben's Helmet, Bang Bang, RVD 420: Cena got Smoked, Hamburger Helper Helmsley, and Brad Pitt Fears Kane.

- Maria comes out for the Kiss Cam. Most couples kissed with the first two guys refusing to and the second pair kissing on the cheek.

- Triple H gets on the mic and tells them to cut the music. He says, "Vince, just in case you're not sure what this is, it's real simple. Even you can understand this because it's just two words: Suck It!" The music starts up again and McMahon storms off the stage. HBK jumps around and the two pose and chop on the turnbuckles. HBK's knee looks to be in decent shape considering his surgery. It would have been nice if they had aired this part on the air considering it was more of a confirmation of DX's return.

- Eugene and the referees are trying to help Jim Duggan up the ramp. Duggan is out of it and Eugene weeps as they hurry him through the curtain.

- Jerry Lawler gets on the mic to talk about ECW: One Night Stand. He says it appears that it wasn't a one night stand since we can all see ECW live on the Sci-Fi network tomorrow night. He urges everyone to watch extremely crappy wrestling since he has a feeling that it won't be on for long. Anything that Paul Heyman touches, immediately turns to crap. He then has some personal words for Tazz, saying that last week he and Joey Styles had
their 'shoot' comments about Jerry being an old man and then dogged sports entertainment. He says if what they did last night wasn't sports entertainment, they would both be in a world of trouble. He says anytime they want another fight that isn't sports entertainment, they'll know where to find him on RAW. The crowd cheers for these seemingly shoot comments and Shelton Benjamin makes his way out to the ring.

- The Paul Heyman promo that opened the show, in which he explains that RVD is the new WWE Champion, airs again.

- Todd Grisham comes to ringside and asks why Stevie Richards, Balls Mahoney, and Justin Credible are at ringside. Stevie says that last night ECW rose again and he's sure every single RAW fan is curious to see what makes ECW so different and so better. Last night (he paused to sip his drink,) everyone saw the difference and why ECW is superior to RAW and SmackDown! He gets on his chair and invites everyone to experience ECW on Sci-Fi and see the new breed. As for tonight, Stevie says they are out there to cheer on their boy Edge against Cena. He says the Champ isn't here, the champ is ... The feed cuts off before he can finish his sentence.
