Lars Ulrich Explains No Show in UK's 2004 Download festival
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has spoken out about his no-show at England's Download Festival in 2004, insisting he was so shocked at finding his wife in bed with prostitutes, he was unable to perform.
Ulrich headlined the Donnington event on Saturday night without a hitch, but left fans distraught after being hospitalized with a mysterious 'medical emergency' two years ago.
He says, "Somebody asked me if it was true that my wife caught me with two prostitutes and an 8ball (of cocaine). But that's actually not what happened.
"What happened was I caught my wife with two prostitutes and an 8ball. And she wouldn't f**king let me join them! I got all hot and bothered and I didn't make it."
